I was pleased to be able to get into this practice in a timely manner, when I needed a tooth extracted before going into labor with my baby. They were able to get me in before any other office could, and the office manager was very patient in assisting me in getting x-rays sent from another office, in order that I could avoid the cost of more x-rays as I do not have dental insurance. The extraction was performed by Dr. Hemmert, and he was very sensitive to my level of comfort during the process. The extraction took him no longer than 10 minutes, and the pain following was far less than any pain following extraction I have experienced before. My only displeasure was with a miscommunication during the billing process, but after communicating my concerns to the office manager, all were adequately addressed and I am pleased with my experience with this practice.

I have been going to these guys for years. Turns out they charge you their own OSHA fee when I thought it was a copay. I just barely found this out by switching my dentists where I figured I had to pay. But I asked them and they said I owed them nothing. On top of that they are never on time when you have your appointment. They were constantly 30-60 minutes late calling your name. Then when you would go sit down, you would wait another 10-20 minutes in the chair for the hygienist. I will never go back there and dont recommend them for anyone. In fact I heard they end up doing services for example periodontal cleaning just to get an extra buck. My new dentist said I would never need one of those and some offices get paid for how many services they give out. Again they were just trying to get as much money out of me as possible! I will never go back!

My wife is too nice to write a less-than-pleasant review, but I was unimpressed by her multiple visits. When they struck a nerve during the Novocaine shot (which hurt her eye and made it difficult to focus for over a day), the response she received was, "Oh. Sorry about that. It shouldnt be permanent." She then signed the waivers *after* the treatment when she was loopy. The work was adequate, and we were grateful they accepted our very limited insurance. The people were nice enough, but it really was a "you get what you pay for" experience. I really miss our old dentist, Dr. McIff.

I went to Young Family Dental because I needed a root canal, and I have lousy insurance. Boy was that a mistake. 10 month later and $3000.00, 2 root canals,1 oral surgery and finally having the tooth extracted and having to receive a bridge. I went back to them 3 weeks after the original root canal complaining of an infected tooth. 2 weeks in a row, they said it wasnt infected, it was a different tooth. I finally went to my family dentist and he found it incredibly infected. When he did the 2nd root canal, he found a piece of cotton under the crown. Beware!!!

The staff and dental physicians at this location are excellent! I have a hectic schedule usually and they are always so friendly & accommodating to work me or my children in when urgent or regular needs arise. The receptionist has gone above and beyond her daily duties in making calls for me when dealing with insurance (since I cant hear on the phone as Im deaf) and have always been so patient and kind in dealing with our needs. I have a special needs daughter and she feels extremely comfortable coming here and wont go anywhere else! Thumbs up

My wife had 4 fillings and I had two done. They have never stopped hurting, in fact they have hurt worse sine the fillings. The dentist also did some cosmetic things to one of my teeth which cost an extra $80 and never asked me if I wanted it, but I was stuck with paying for it anyway. The girl cleaning my teeth was rude to me because I hadnt been to the dentist for a while and it took a little longer for the cleaning. I told her it was hurting and she never even stopped or even looked at me. Stay away from this place

Worst treatment I have ever had. I was accused of just trying to get free stuff because I took my insurance papers in to show them they had overcharged my Co pay by 700 DOLLARS. I got bottom dentures and have not ever been able to wear them. Went another dentist he said I will never be able to wear them,they were at least double the size they should of been. I am still waiting for the rest of my refund from overcharge after 8 months. They wanted their money at time of service.

Im a new dental assistant at Young Family Dental in American Fork and I love my job!! The reception is always so helpful and friendly and all the assistants strive to make your experience comfortable. The doctors are concerned about each patient and how comfortable they are too! I havent met any doctor with us who would do a procedure if youre not comfortable. Im glad to be a part of this great team!

Dr. Chris Young removed my wisdom teeth for me and the entire experience was great! The assistant (Shayla) was so attentive and on the ball. Dr. Chris made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I got dry socket a few days later and the assistants that helped me did an excellent job packing and helping me feel more comfortable. Thank you YFD for making this experience a positive one!

The service I receive here is 5 star every time. They staff is fantastic. They always welcome me like family. The dentists are very kind, explains thing clearly, answer my questions and show me the pictures of my teeth on the computer screens. The are very advance with technology. I could imagine going anywhere else or trusting any other office with my families dental care

Shelby was great at explaining things and making sure I understood what was going to be done today. Dr Hemmet was great on my last visit as he also explained what needed to be done and helped me prioritize what should be done first. I have a lot of work to be done! I have been a patient for a lot of years and we like the care we get here. Thats why we keep coming back.

Alexis the dental hygienest is awesome, is very thorough in expalining everything, giving recommendations, knowledge, professional, and amazing experience. Shelby the dental assistant is very positive, friendly, experienced. Overall amazing service and I would highly recommend Young Family Dentist to anyone wanting quality and top notch service!

The only good thing about this practice is Dr Cerny and his assistant. Take him out of the equation and the rest of the practice is awful. Dont be fooled by the pretty building in Orem. Youll by paying for it by dodgy work and condescending Drs. I always came out of there feeling like they didnt care one bit!!!
