If you dont have dental insurance, this is the place to go. I initially went to the dental school, nearby, and while they definitely give you the most thorough cleaning youll ever get it was very time consuming (but if you have more time than money, they are a great option). I found out that this place also does cleaning and exams and I was excited! It is around $30 for a cleaning and free for exam/x-rays. Cant beat that. And it is like a regular dentist office, they get you in, get you cleaned, and get you out. I did not feel like they pressured me to do unnecessary work. (There is a place in Provo I would give scathing reviews to on that count, if only I could remember their name :) ) ***Update. I got a crown here, and Ive had nothing but problems with it. I do feel like they are nice and have tried to take care of it... But I also feel like there were several things they did wrong with putting it in. I think Id have a hard time going back to get another crown done here. Ill still go for the cleanings and probably fillings.

I was VERY impressed. My hygienist and dentist were both incredibly friendly and professional. Id been going to a high priced dentist for years until my job/insurance changed. This dentist who I had never met explained things and was friendlier than the dentist I had been going to consistently for a very long time. The hygienists and dentists are all certified and legit - NOT students. There IS a dental school at/in the same facility, but they are not the ones working on you. This is not your typical dentist office. Lots of lower income patients so a little different crowd than usual. No fancy decor. There are ROWS of chairs with patients, dentists, assistants, and hygienists all over the place. However it was clean and I didnt worry about the quality of my care at all. Call and make an appointment - theyre busy - but if you dont get an appointment you like call back and check for cancellations. This got me in over a week earlier than originally scheduled.

I honestly hate the fact that I even have to give it one star in order to leave a comment , my mother came here and got her wisdom tooth out, first off they were not gentle when taking x rays, didnt even numb her with any gel or anything just straight poked her with the needles and she said it was painful , and when they did pull the tooth out they damaged her nerve (we know because after so much pain we went back to her old dentist and he confirmed they did a bad job) they did not give her medication for the tooth causing her to get a nasty infection that caused a lot of discomfort, head aches , fever , even her ear was in pain, her whole right side of her face was in pain. And lastly the Dr "did a filling" her dentist said it was so poorly done and sloppy that he had re do it . She also needed a root canal , but they skipped that and didnt even put it in her "plan" they had for her. I definitely would never recommend this to anyone, its cheap but not worth it.

I had to come because I have no insurance. I found that you need to call in to make an appointment with them before coming in. When I finally did come in for my appointment I was attended promptly. Exams and x-rays are free so once I was done with that I was taken into the main area and waited for the dentist who is an actual doctor not a student. He was very good and gave me a great assessment. I ended up needing to remove a tooth due to decay as well a wisdom tooth. They charge $130 per tooth but gave me a discount and only charged me $85 for the second tooth which helped me out alot. All in all I had a great experience there :)

Im being as nice as I can about this. Half Price Dental was horrible for me. Free exam but told me I needed two root canals and three crowns--went back to my old dentist for a free second opinion and I had one cavity. The end. It was far cheaper to pay my original dentist for one cavity than Half Price for a ton of unneeded work that added up to way more than one cavity filling even at half price. My original dentist was surprised as he used to work for Half Price and didnt expect them to rip me off, but he asked if it was one specific dentist in particular he knew (I forget the name, sorry!) so maybe theres just one problem guy there.

The cleaning price is cheaper than what Ive found elsewhere, but Id recommend getting a second opinion before having any dental work done here. Paying someone else for a second opinion saved me over $800 in dental work since I dont have insurance. P.S. The main reason why I got a second opinion was because the dentist who did my exam at Half Price Dental Clinic was pressuring me into getting dental work done. I didnt like that, so I went to someone who I felt didnt have any alternative motives.

Dr. Allan was very nice to my little brother. Many dentists act like they dont want to work on little kids but Dr. Allan was great. He did not rush him, he played a little game with him to help him not be so nervous and he was cracking jokes to try to get him to laugh so he would not cry. I think that is pretty cool and it really seemed to help my brother calm down. Thanks

I am very happy with this office. Ive had various procedures including fillings, crown, extractions, and a bridge. They referred me to other economical dental services for a root canal and dentures. The dentists are competent and friendly. The staff is outstanding. I would have my dental work done here regardless of my budget and even if I had dental insurance.

My experience with Half Price Dental has been great! All of my family takes advantage of their excellent pricing on their services. We have had everything done from cleanings, x-rays, crowns, fillings, wisdom teeth extractions, and implants. Everyone working there is very professional and friendly. The dentists are competent and kind.

I took my family here for cleanings and had a great experience. The hygienist was great with my little girl and made the experience fun and stress-free. I would recommend them for sure. Its especially good for anyone who doesnt have dental insurance because they provide a low cost option for regular cleanings and check ups.

Like most of the other reviews... This place is great for a cleaning but if you need work done (supposedly) go somewhere else. They are just looking to do as many unnecessary things to your teeth as possible. I went to get a second opinion from a more honest dentist and the difference was around $900.

I dont know anyone who loves going to the dentist... especially for more than a cleaning :-( BUT I have finally found the most friendly and professional staff and the most accurate and talented doctor all for a reasonable price. I wont go anywhere else! Thank you Dr. Allan and team!
