Today I am going in for Lasik Eye Surgery at the Holiday Location. But I wouldnt be doing this, if it wasnt for the ladies at Standard Optical and the physician who did my eye exam. I have been coming to this location for the past couple years, and have been so impressed with their personal costumer service and friendliness along with their professionalism. My last appointment was about two weeks ago. When I checked in for my eye exam, the front desk Ladies, I believe Courtney and Taylor are their names, remembered who I was and asked if I was still interested in Lasik. I was. But I had to wait a little before I could see the doctor since they had a walk in that really needed to be seen. While I was waiting, Taylor asked if I needed anything. Water, or something to read. All I wanted was some company. And that is exactly what Courtney and Taylor did when they were not serving other customers. I cant remember the doctors name, but when he called me back, he realized my appointment was cutting into his lunch break. But instead of making me feel like a burden. He took very good care of me, and humored all my questions. I never felt rushed, or one of many. I could go on and on about how great everyone was. I have been in the service industry for half of my life. And it can be very difficult to keep you composure when you are being attacked or belittled, but these ladies have mastered the "glass is half full" ideal. Taylor and Courtney made me feel special, like one of their friends, not just someone they could make money off of. In fact, they went out of their way to save me money. And shared some other advice that any woman would appreciate :) Thank you! If you are a good person, good things will happen to you. Thank you for being so good to me :) And now I am off to go get my surgery done at the Holiday Standard Optical location. I am a little nervous- but Courtney and Taylor took extra time to fill me in on what will happen today, and I feel confident that I am in good hands. :)

I went into the Lehi location to get some more contacts because for the first time in 7 years, I randomly ran out. I saw the banner that talked about lasik and the free consultation, so I figured why not? I ended up getting super interested, and they did the pre-op that day! Apparently very uncommon. And I had an appointment at the Holiday location 5 days later. The staff at the lehi one locatio was amazing and helped with everything I needed to prepare for the lasik. Once I got to the holliday location yesterday for my "operation" the staff immediately already knew who I was and greeted me and did everything they could to make me comfortable. They told me I would be there for about 2 hours and I was, so it was so surprise. Plus they had brain games playing in the waiting room (love that show) and Dr Williams did extra tests and checked my prescription one last time to be extra sure. They gave me valum to calm my nerves (extra perk :p) and once they kicked in, I went to the operating room. They immediately gave me a teddy bear to hold and put a blanket on for comfort and warmth, they even had my music choice playing, so that made it even better. Dr Williams and his assistant talked me through every part of the procedure, and made sure I was ok and comfortable. Once they were done (only about 4 minutes each eye) the assistant helped me up and took me to the room and said theyll check the flap in about 5-10 minutes to make sure everything was perfect. Once dr Williams came and checked it out, everything was perfect and I left. I had my 1 day post op exam today in Provo, and I already have better than 20/20 vision! 20/15 to he exact. Its amazing going from -3.00 in both eyes to having perfect vision. Thank to all 3 standard opticals Ive been to in the last few days. You guys really made it an amazing experience!

I just had LASIK done at the Hollady location. I have been wanting it done for a long time now but after consulting with my current eye doctor he made it seem like a lot bigger headache then I wanted to deal with. After waiting a few years and getting a few other opinions I found Jill at standard optical. Going to standard optical was the best decision I have made! They were very informative and made me feel very comfortable. After my pre op I knew I was ready and I was going to use standard optical. They day of my surgery I was nervous and didnt know quit what to expect. Again Jill and Dr Williams made sure I was comfortable and all my questions were answered. They surgery went much smoother then I was expecting when they told me they were done I couldnt believe it. I didnt even think they had started. After surgery they again made sure I was doing ok had a ride and everything I needed to go home and rest. If you are even thinking about LASIK, contacts or glasses you should defiantly stop by the Hollady location you wont be let down. With there state of the art equiptment and the best staff around I know there was not a better place for me to have my LASIK done. Thank you Jill Dr Williams and the rest of the staff at Stabdard Optical you forever bettered my life!

I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. I went to get a standard eye check and contact lens prescription. I have been back FOUR times because they keep giving me a wrong prescription. The first doctor told me that I didnt need a toric lens for my right eye because i didnt have an astigmatism, even though i have had one my WHOLE life. I told him this, but he just said that I didnt have it anymore. Then when he gave me a non toric lens and did the eye check, I told him that it was a little blurry even though I could make out the letters. He responded "well, youre seeing 20/20, so I dont know what else you want." So I tried them. Yeah--NOT working, everything was blurry and I had severe headaches. Since then I have been back 3 times and they STILL havent gotten it right. i dont know what their deal is. And everytime I go Im waiting at LEAST 30 minutes in their waiting room. Its ridiculous. They say they also do lasik surgery, well, I wouldnt touch that one with a ten foot pole. They cant even handle contact lens...you want them cutting into your eye?

After scheduling an appt for LASIK with the St. George office, I went to the Holladay location for the procedure. The staff (Jared & Jill) and doctor (Dr. Williams) were both helpful and very informative. The total process took about an hour. They really made me feel very comfortable in a (for me) nerve wrecking procedure. The doctor was extremely thorough and would explain every step of the procedure. They gave me some goggles to wear for the day but by the afternoon I could see perfectly!! I did get a bruise on my eyeball from the clamp because it broke some capillaries, but it doesnt effect the results at all. They said it goes away in a couple weeks, so no biggie (Im more concerned with the actual vision part). My post op exam the next day showed I had better than 20/20 vision. I just went for my follow-up exam a week later in the St George office and I have 20/15 vision! Best decision of my life!!! Standard Optical is a GREAT place to go for LASIK, they have a promo once or twice a year so go for it! Dr. Williams is truly amazing!
