Ive been a patient at Dental Associates of Fair Oaks for over 7 years, and I am leaving the practice. My decision was made after a hugely disappointment a couple months ago when I had to get a filling. I ended up having to wait 40 minutes for my appointment, after being told "oh, 5 more minutes" repeatedly after the initial 15 min of waiting. The staff obviously didnt know what was going on, and didnt even care to figure out what the hold up was. If the Dr is in the middle of a major procedure, it obviously would NOT be "5 more minutes". No offer for water (btw, they do not have water in the waiting room), or apologies for the long wait. A month after my procedure was done, I received a bill from them, even though I paid my copay under one of the best dental insurance in the market. I asked why I had to pay more and was told that the insurance only covers silver fillings not white, which was not mentioned when I had the procedure done, nor was I given a CHOICE between silver and white fillings. They sounded like they didnt even know and this was the FIRST time they encountered this insurance rule, which is completely dishonest. I told them that Im not happy w/ this and would have to consider other providers, and they basically said thats fine by us. So yes, both my husband and I will leave this place.

We moved to Arlington in 1966. One of the first functions in our family was choosing a new dentist. The dentist we selected was excellent. We were served by him and his staff for over 40 years. He retired. Finding a new professional was a dreaded process. After a few false starts a good friend recommend Dr. Greenspan. Dr. Greenspan is a highly skilled dental health provider. He is also a person in whom I perceive cares about my whole self, open to describe and discuss my options,, confirms the value of my efforts to have a healthy mouth. He and his staff always greet me with a warm welcome. He respects my opinions, my parameters, my nervous controlling groans and the rest of my imperfect self. I trust Dr. Greenspan to keep my 87 year old grinders healthy and highly functioning for many more years so l can continue to enjoy my family life, community activities, gym work, bicycling, gardening, travel, shop hobbies, discovering, cooking, eating and enjoying being a live.

I first started seeing Gary and his team in 1997, and the thought of looking for another dentist has never entered my mind. The technical aspect is superb, but it is the service that astounds. Gary has a way of explaining technical dentistry details because he sincerely wants the patient to fully understand what he is doing and why. He engages you in the decision of what needs to be done, and this is rare bedside manner today. From his team perspective, from the front office to the technicians, you feel like family even though you may have only seen them once every 6 months for a checkup. And I do mean them, as a team. The teeth fixing is why I came to him; Garys service ethics is why I remain a staunch supporter and a long term patient.

I have been coming to this team for dental care since 2008 and have never been disappointed. The reception team is professional, efficient, and supportive of nervous patients. They assigned me under the care of Dr. Schecht and Mahvish, his assistant and my dental health is the better for it. I recommend this office to anyone asking for superb, professional, and skilled care. Im quite pleased to have discovered Dental Associates of Northern VA.

Not too good as previous denture build by Dr Capp. The present dentures were not properly built and needed adjustment having paid four times as much charged by current dentist in Jan 2013. In short living now in NJ it is much expensive to come to Fairfax to get it redone or refined. Alas I paid through my nose to get substandard dentures. Al Khan in NJ.

Our family has had Gary Greenspan as our dentist for about 20 years based on a recommendation of a good friend. He and his staff have always delivered professional, reliable, and timely service. You can telll that the staff is satisfied because you see them smile and you dont see the turnover of people that you see at many other medical practices!

I had my wisdom teeth extracted recently by Dr. Schecht, he is such an amazing dentist! His shots are painless and is very thorough in explaining everything that I need. Ive been going to DA Fairoaks for the past 6 years, the entire staff of dental associates is very friendly and helpful. Ive never had a bad experience at this practice :)

Ive been going to Dr. Greenspan for 2-3 years now. Initially I went to get a second opinion on my dental work. But ended up going here full time after his suggestions saved me a lot of money. Dr. Greenspan is very nice and thoughtful, always asking about my family and does great work also. Recommended with 10 stars if possible.
