Said from the mouth of a patient who was nearly killed by Dr Soltanian on Springfield Rd, this office and specially Mark Diefenderfer are in my eyes the angels from above. Following this near death experience I visited Richmond’s top rated dentists and in large numbers. Let me just tell you there is not one dentist in our town that compares to Mark D and his crew. Mark is not only the most personable human being, but more importantly his dedication to ensure his patients are satisfied is simply hard to find in today’s world. I find myself asking how my dentist could be so wonderful and accommodating. I really don’t know how Mark does it, but what matters is that he simply does it. For several years he worked to fix issues caused by Dr Soltanian. We are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I have nobody else to thank but him and his team. Even though Mark is of young age, he is very knowledgeable and what he wouldn’t know he makes up through his commitment and at the end of the day he will have an answer for any patient any time. I think his partner at the office Steve L. also deserves a compliment as he and Mark collaborated and got creative to solve my issues. This office is full of support staff who are also deserving of compliments for their kindness and dedication, starting from the front desk and ending with their surgeons. One assistant is a Dallas Cowboys fan so I am not too happy about that however given this office and Mark have literally improved the quality of my life I am willing to overlook the bad team selection. I give Mark and this office infinity stars!!!!!

Be aware of their predatory practices; firstly, they will lure you into their office and give you fairly reasonable quote, however, when you see the bill and call them back, they say, " oh, quotes arent accurate; therefore, you are responsible for the charges on that statement". I am a victim of this clinic; I simply went in there for cleaning which is covered by my insurance. However, they wanted me to do the deep cleaning. I didnt understand the reason behind it when I just had a deep cleaning done couple months back, but I wad told not to worry since it is covered under my insurance and I just have to pay a portion of it, which was around 50 some dollar. I agreed to it and we moved forward with the procedure. Everything was okay until I got a hefty bill. I mean people can be off by 5 to 10 dollar but not but hundreds of dollars. I had several dentists before Virginia Dentistry and never had any billing issues. These people are leeches and want you guys to be careful. Have them run the insurance beforehand, so you wont be left with hundreds of dollar for dental hygiene.

I love Virginia Family Dentistry. Much to my chagrin, it had been 5 years since my last dental visit. My dental hygienist, Sharon, was very thorough and took every opportunity to educate me on dental health, she answered all of my questions, and made sure to explain everything she was doing throughout the cleaning and x-rays. I was so incredibly pleased with the entire experience. Dr. Iachini was very personable, competent, and wonderful! To top it all off, after my visit, I received a letter in the mail thanking me for coming to that office and Dr. Iachinis hand written signature was at the bottom. It was a small and simple gesture, but the fact that this practice takes the time to thank their patients for choosing them, shows how much you are valued and are viewed as an actual person and not a patient ID number. My entire family will be going to this practice. I can go on and on about how positive my experience was, Id recommend Virginia Family Dentistry to everyone I know!

Before retiring, I relocated several times for my company and with each move came the task of finding the right medical professionals. I thought my dental care in Raleigh was the best Id found until I took a blind chance on Virginia Family Dentistry. Not every patient handles the thought of going to the dentist without anxiety. I am one of those patients with a fear of sitting in that chair. Well I have to say the great folks there held my hand with sincere concern that first visit and I have been some pleased since! They are positive, friendly, welcoming, demonstrate great chair side manner and show such patience I now look forward to my appointments! From the front desk to the existing desk you feel sincerely welcomed and cared for with no surprises. The financials are explained very well, up front, with clarity. I took a chance and got it right the first choice!! Thank you much!!

I called with a family emergency one afternoon at 4pm. My daughter had something stuck in her mouth. I thought I would call the office, on my way, and someone would take a look at what was causing my 10-year old this discomfort. The response from the receptionist was louder than bombs, "we close at 5pm." At that point I was 10 minutes away, well before 4:30pm. We went to another dentist who removed the article lodged in my daughters throat. Thank goodness they were available. We were out of that office before 5pm. I am not sure what is wrong with this dentist practice. The climate has changed over the last few years. Weve been going to this office for over 7 years. Weve never had an emergency before. The reception we received when we needed help was most shocking. You lost our faith in your services. You lost four customers. Eric Kothe

Friendly environment. Knowledgeable staff. I always leave feeling that Ive been giving the best care available. My periodontist, Dr Voth has made my dental care experience an "anxiety free" one. She has been able to help me maintain and perserve in my oral care tasks. When I thought all was lost, her knowledge in her respective field allowed me options that were not offered by others. This has given me the second chance that I desperately wanted. The flexibility of having VFD to work around my rotating schedule by allowing me to visit any of the locations between my job and home has made my experience PAINLESS. Effortlessness!....VFD... You make everything seem so effortless. You all are definitely what the doctor ordered....all puns intended!!..LOL

Never had a chance to meet any of the wonderful Dentist, I was told about because life happens. Apparently the front desk staff does not understand that. I am very aware of your and many other medical offices cancellation policies. But that was not the problem here. This practice receptionist lack customer service skills, Although her voice was sweet as pie, she was a robot, repeating the cancellation policy and scolding me for not calling within 24 hours, even though I offered a solution so they would not loose the appointment. There is more to this review, but I will end it here. My reason for cancelling was stressful enough, they made it worst. I or anyone I know will not have VA FAMILY DENTISTRY as their dentist. Very disappointed.

I must admit never having visited this particular branch or having oral surgery before, I was impressed and well pleased. Everyone was friendly and courteous from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. Veronica was outstanding, she went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered. Dr Voth was also outstanding, she explained the procedure in detail step by step. She was precise and experienced in the task at hand. Great "bedside manners" I would rate my visit with 5 stars. Im thinking seriously about transferring to the Staples Mill location
