Our dog fell very ill very quickly and when our normal vet couldnt see him for days, Gordonsville Veterinary Hospital was able to see him in less than 24 hours! Im so glad we found them! They are the absolute best vet we have ever been to, hands down! Their care, compassion, and knowledge is exceptional! Although we never mentioned trying to save money, they handled the diagnosis procedure and care plan the most financially wise way possible, as if they were spending their own money. That is not something you see a lot these days. They have earned our trust! We are so grateful that they were able to help our Gunner! We will never go to another vet again!

I am stunned by the level of compassion found in the staff at this clinic. We found a cat in terrible condition on the side of the road, believed to be hit by a car. We rushed to Gordonsville as this was the closest clinic. They quickly took him in and went over everything with me. Everyone was so loving and gentle with this sweet little cat the whole time, they gently pet him and he purred as he drifted off to sleep. As sad as it sounds, I was fully expecting to be turned away and told to contact animal control.. because theres no money to be made off of a stray cat, but this clinic just restored my faith in humanity.

My mail Rottweiler "Cowboy " was very sick, took on the recommendations of someone to a vet in Charlottesville on 5th st. There diagnosis was cancer and more than likely wouldnt respond to any treatment. Highly recommended that I consider putting him down. I refused and my wife took him to Gordansville Veterinarian Hospital, very quickly they determined that it was something that got picked up through a tick bite. We were told that although its serious, it can be treated. My best friend was 6 when this happened, as Im writing this he is 10 and a half! They saved Cowboys life .

They are not the most affordable for those in financial hardship - I wish they offered "shot clinics" where the visit fee was reduced for those just getting pets vaccinated - their business would triple. BUT when weve needed them, theyve been on the ball. Both of the veterinarians are very knowledgable and caring. Theyve helped with my dogs and cat. Theyre great and know their stuff. And their fees are neither unreasonable nor unusually high - theyre average for the area. But their service is above average. Highly recommend.

My experience with Gordonsville Veterinary Clinic has always been a positive one. I travel an hour to get there because I find them to be the most compassionate caring vets in the area. They are never short with you and do their best to accommodate you. You can always count on being greeted cheerfully when you arrive. They not only care about your pet but for you as well. I highly recommend them.

We love the doctors there because they really care and take their time to explain things if you have questions. I loveeeee them! They took care of my precious Fluffy Buffy as she was dying and referred me to a home vet/doctor to gently in my own home let her go! And that meant the world to me!!!!! The location is convenient for me, but I stopped going as I was tired of Ackerman yelling at me and making me feel about the worst cat owner in the world. I am not an animal expert, but I know this place doesnt feel like it is run up to todays standards and practices. I now drive further to go to a vet who treats both the animal and owner with respect.
