My vet suggested Va Vet Specialists because he said they had more precise equipment and were more knowledgeable on internal medicine. He told me he thought my cat had cancer. Well, almost $3,000 later the vet at Va Vet Specialists, Dr Miller, still was not sure she said. She would really need to do more tests and operate on him, but still couldnt give me a straight answer on if he would recover. She never gave me a straight answer on anything. And on top of that, made me feel like I didnt love my cat just because I dont have unlimited funds to spend. I felt like this place was way over priced, the vet did not seem knowledgeable or helpful, only after the money, and the staff was very uncaring as well. This place is all about the money. I feel like I lost my precious baby because I didnt have unlimited funds to spend. Every time I called back to ask the vet something, she was either not there or not interested anymore because I couldnt spend thousands more. It is a shame when life comes down to money. If I could give this place negative a star rating I would.

My cat was diagnosed with injection site sarcoma and VSS first did a surgery to remove tumor and tail. I was horrified but my little man bounced back so quickly and was so loving that it was amazing. After a course of radiation outside of VVS, he continued with chemo treatments there. While not inexpensive, I always thought they watched out for bottom line for me. They were flexible in scheduling and really honored what I wanted. My sweet boy eventually had the cancer spread and I had him put to sleep shortly thereafter by a separate hospice vet. VVS then sent a sympathy card saying theyd made a donation in his name. I cant recommend them enough.

Dr. Paling and her staff were simply outstanding. They helped our sweet Daisy through well over a year of living with cardiomyopathy. They were gentle and loving with her whenever we needed to visit. Dr. Paling worked with Dr. Wheeler when there was a mammary tumor that needed to be removed because the anesthesia was challenging. We were so lucky to have our sweet girl for a lot longer than we thought we would after her diagnosis, and a great deal of that had to do with the outstanding care and going beyond the call of duty that Dr. Paling did. I cannot recommend her any more highly for cardiac care.

if only i could give it a negative this vet is worthless 1700 and not one answer but he has laryngitis week on antibiotics and he gets worse. DO NOT GO HERE ALSO WAITED 8 hours before i was seen and a 45 min procedure cost 1700 STAY AWAY tried 8 times to speak to a doctor nope every time someone different that didnt know about my case
