Absolutely the best eye doctor Ive ever been to, and I have been to a lot! I have worn glasses for 50 years, and I have gotten my eyes checked annually during that time. When I first went to Dr. Gore, it was a matter of convenient location--I thought Id stay for a few years. Well, after that first visit, I quickly realized he is not only friendly and knowledgeable, but he really cares about each patient. He takes the time to connect with each patient--to learn something about each one--and that information can help him better diagnose eye issues. He has now been my eye doctor for nearly 20 years. Also, he was the first doctor to ever give me a very simple peripheral vision test using his index fingers and his nose. He identified an issue I never realized I had, but turned out I had it from birth. And after he found the apparent lack of peripheral vision in one of my eyes, he strongly encouraged me to get it checked out by an ophthalmologist. Turned out it was the result of how my optic nerve entered my eye. I would never have known this but for Dr. Gore. And knowing this about my vision made a huge difference for me--I actually changed my behavior to ensure my young child was not in my blindspot when we went out. Sorry to be so wordy. But Dr. Gore is a fantastic doctor. And it helps that he is also a very nice, compassionate person--and his office is full of those kinds of people. I highly recommend you give them a try.

As the Town Clerk for the Town of Haymarket I welcomed Dr. Gore into our business community in 2001. He is very professional, thorough, pleasant, friendly, caring and accommodating. And his staff is excellent, efficient and friendly. I had an emergency over a weekend once. I called his emergency number and he quickly gave me the information and assistance I needed to take care of my problem. My eyes are in good hands with Dr. Gore. I never have to worry. I highly recommend Dr. Gores practice. Thank you Dr. Gore!

My son goes to Dr. Gore for his glasses so I thought of his office when I scratched my eye badly and as soon as the office opened, they fit me in and Dr. Gore saw me right away. He then fit me in to his full schedule two days later and spent 30 minutes with me. Hes friendly and knowledgeable.
