Hands down the worst experience with an optometrist I have ever had. My old optometrist, Dr. Patel, was supposed to still be the practitioner here after Shenandoah Eye Care was bought out by MyEyeDr. When I called and asked if I could set an appointment with her, they said no problem! Strike one: Dr. Patel was not my doctor. Instead, a new optometrist who I had never met before was. Strike two: I had made my appointment at 9:15 AM, I arrived on time and was supposed to be one of the first patients of the day. Upon waiting 20 minutes I was informed that the Dr. forgot that they opened at 9:15 on that day and was going to be 45 minutes late. Being as I had already cleared time on my schedule for the appointment, I waited it out and looked at new frames in the meantime. After a rushed exam, I was then taken to purchase new contact lenses and frames. STRIKE THREE: I received a text the next day confirming my lenses had arrived. I found this odd as they said it was going to be two weeks due to the availability of my prescription, so I called and CONFIRMED they had my contacts. I rode back out to Warrenton, upon arriving I was told "We know we told you we had them in, but we only have the left one". I will never do business with this optometrist or MyEyeDr. again! Perhaps if they put half as much time as they do on hiring blonde receptionists and sleeping in, they would have a practice worth the prices they charge. Simply outrageous, how can you possibly be so incompetent? Considering contesting charges as I have lost all confidence in my prescription even being correct!

The company was formerly Shenandoah Eye Care, and the frame selection was far better. Since MyEyeDr. took over the business, Ive been dissatisfied with every pair of glasses or contacts Ive received. Two years ago, I attempted to get new contacts but the physician forced astigmatism brand contacts on me (no other doctor had ever done this to me). Even with my insurance, I paid hundreds of dollars for the contacts, and they are so uncomfortable that I cant wear them. Last year was the final straw. WITH insurance, a new pair of glasses cost me over $200 - and I cant see out of them. Ive taken them back 2 or 3 times, but the staff cant fix them. I asked for a refund, and it was refused. Why should I be forced to pay for something that I cant use?? The staff are very disorganized - theyll call you to tell you your contacts or glasses are ready, and then when you show up, it turns out the items arent there at all. Total waste of time. And the staff arent even apologetic when the make mistakes.

Very dissatisfied with this place. When I arrived my paper work was not ready then when they gave it to me it was missing the HIPAA forum. This was the District Manager that I was dealing with she was busy running around the office with her cell phone. The General Manager was busy talking it up with a friend in the corner all while I waited for almost an hour before some lady walked in and was told the Dr. will take you right away. I left wont be back and dont recommend this place to anyone unless you want to waste your time and receive crappy service.

Everyone was absolutely wonderful to deal with. I went in wanting to get contacts and walked out with them! I liked that they sat down and did like a little class on using contacts. Showing me how to put them in and take them out and then having me do it myself. It made me feel comfortable to use them. Thank you!
