MY VISIT TO DR MCGAHEN WAS THE IST TIME IN FIVE YEARS, IN BETWEEN I HAD TO VISIT ANOTHER DR BECAUSE I WAS 3 HOURS AWAY AND COULD NOT RETURN TO WAYNESBORO WITHOUT A 6 HOUR ROUND TRIP, THE EYE EXAM THERE WAS NEVER QUITE RIGHT,AS THE GLASSES I HAD FROM MY IST VISIT WITH DR McGAHEN, SO IT MADE SENSE TO RETURN TO HIS OFFICE FOR A MUCH BETTER EXAM AND A SET OF GLASSES THAT WORK AND IMPROVED MY VISION. THE OFFICE STAFF WAS TOP NOTCH AND EVERYTHING MOVED RIGHT ON TIME AND IN LESS THAN A WEEK I HAD MY NEW SPECS AND AM VERY SATISFIED AND HIGHLY WILL RECOMEND DR McGAHEN TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND HAVE DONE SO ALLREADY. Dr. McGahen and his staff are methodical and businesslike in efficiently diagnosing my needs and covering all the bases. When a nosepad on my new glasses starts to get my nose out of joint, anyone in the McGahen office can jump in and adjust my nose -- er, pad and get me on my way. A friend referred me to Joel about 10 years ago. He is the only optometrist I will take my children to. He is wonderful with my kids and has always answered any questions I may have. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The frames and lenses offered are always the best quality. There is no comparison with the "chain vision stores".

Joel tookt he time to examine my eyes and make sure I felt comfortable with the outcome of his examination. He also took the time to listen to concerns and explain his answer and background of how he knows the answer. This makes for a great experience as well as trust in his abilities.

Switched doctors on a recommendation from my dad. Couldnt be happier eye examine was best i ever had. Dr. McGahen even found my previous contact measurements were wrong. now i can see great again and couldnt be happier.
