Had initial visit in late April, waited until late May/early June for treatment plan with cost breakdown. (Took way too long) Went in this week scheduled for 2 root canals with crowns. 1st problem- guy came in and told me a completely different(higher) , & it took at least 30 min to get that straight. 2nd -while he was out of room, a tech came in and opened a package of instruments which within minutes I noticed were DIRTY. The room was dusty & seemed unclean. Syringes of paste(fillings?), box of cotton etc. were uncovered. Light handles, handles to hoses etc had no plastic or sanitary coverings. Ended up walking out after making an appt with another dentist. Would not send anyone to this dentist!!

Please dont go here. There are plenty of other dentists in Richmond that take Medicaid and who actually care about your well-being. The doctor at the Courthouse location was trying to do so much unnecessary work to my mouth just to fatten his own wallet. Im pregnant, therefore Medicaid covers almost anything for me at this time. He tried to tell me that my wisdom teeth were rotting out of my head (theyre fine), that I need 8 porcelain crowns (I dont), and that it all needed to be done ASAP... Dont be scammed by these guys! I got a second opinion and all I need is a good deep cleaning! Im so glad I cancelled any further appointments with Happy Smiles, who Im now referring to as "Crappy Smiles".

First appearances hold a lot of weight! Im new to the area so kudos for getting me in right away but upon waiting in the waiting area, I was getting cold feet. Decor, environment and vibe was really unsettling. Very old and off-putting. But I was like, ok, give them a chance. Once I walked back though, there was trash on the floor and it really did not look hygienic. I sat through the exam of my teeth but Im never going back. The dentist had a thick accent and he was commenting like he was amazed I had so many cavities. True, Ive had a lot of work done but come on, your a dentist. You fix teeth. I just didnt feel comfortable.

Is it possible to give LESS than one star??? The Dentist we saw had not worked in that building before the day we were there. She went back and forth from room to room, asking where the gloves were, where the gauze was...asking the assistants, "do you all do THIS here...or THAT here" It was VERY unsettling! My son who is 12, looked up at me from the chair, and said, "Mom, this place looks sketchy!" and he was right. Will never go back there again!

Currently sitting here 3 hours after my appointment time. They are extremely over scheduled to only have one dentist in the office. When I spoke about the fact that my child had been waiting in the exam room for over an hour the dentist decided to tell me how overworked she is and tried to remove my sons tooth after the anesthesia had worn off. Ridiculous. If you love yourself or your children, stay away please. Look for a better dentist.

horrible place to go. receptionist and assistant were very nice but the dentist came off as a jerk. they didnt ask questions they should of.. i had an extraction and am in extreme pain and get told to take Motrin. i will never ever return to this place. its an old house converted to an office. if i wasnt in extreme pain i would of left as soon as i got there.

Every single person in the office is as nice as could possible be. We have been going here for a couple of years and the staff has always been incredible kind and patient with my two boys. The office itself is a little rough, but its a small sacrifice for knowing my kids are getting seen by people who care about them and their well being.

This place is ew. It smells horrible in there, the equipment looks extremely old and worn down. There was only ONE doctor working in the building because another doctor called out and they didnt bother giving a courtesy call to let people know what was going on. Weve been sitting here almost 3 hours. Stay away.

Acceptance insurance....need repairs to waiting area, unsafe and undignified entrance for wheelchair users, receptionist and dentist needs customers service training, bad chairside manners, felt like your child was in an assembly line no patients interaction

They are very easy, they are not rough with anything, and they are great doctors!! I got braces September 25, 2013, and it didnt hurt but after having your mouth propped open for 45 minutes, it is sore. but nothing else hurt. They are great doctors.

Staff is very friendly and kind. They really put my G-Daughter at ease. The waiting areas are in serious need of an update but the care is very good. We have never had a long wait time.

We take our daughter here and I keep coming back because they do great work, the staff is very friendly and everything is clean and organized! Great dentists!
