So I took my Kitten to be declawed by this vet .. After calling around to multiple Vets in the area trying to find the best way possible to have this surgery, we finally found a vet that met what we needed. When we called, we specifically told each vet, "We need the front paws done because she scratches our furniture and scarres us and our friends, and the back paws done because she uses them as leverage to push off our leather furniture." They said they understood and could have all four done for us, laser surgery, for $290. even when we dropped off our babygirl, they repeated to have all four done, laser surgery. Well when we picked our kitten up, she only had her two front paws done, and I probably could have taken her and gotten a better quality job anywhere else for a lot cheaper. When we called to ask about the situation we were met with disrespect and were not taken seriously because we were young. When my boyfriends mom called to try to get a better response out of this vet, she was put on the phone, with the surgeon ... Before I was! The owner of the cat.. And the surgeon had released my cats medical information to her. To anyone who doesnt know.. Thats illegal. And yes , we now know that the standard practice doesnt really include the back paws anymore, which is fine, but I expect the Vet and the business, to fully inform the customers and the owners of the patients about the services they are about to provide. In their own papers, they said this surgery is equally as serious as a humans surgery.. If only they would have taken it that way. A woman named Lindsay was the most disrespectful worker over the phone and the surgeon laughed off the fact that we said we were going to contact the BBB ... Which to find out this business isnt even accredited by them. I recommend to any owner who loves their fur baby to take them anywhere but here!

I have been going to pet vet for over 2 years. I had taking my pug to get neutered and he ended up getting kennel cough and giving it to my other pug. They both had their bordetella shot but still caught it. I tried for 2 weeks to get them an appointment but they said they were full. I was very disappointed that they could not work us in just to listen to their lungs. I was very concerned about them and worried they might die. I ended up taking them to another vet and they treated them with kindness. I took my other pug back because he had a bump they have been watching since last year. They took a biopsy and the vet was concerned it was cancer. I had called each day hoping and praying the results were in but all they would say is its not in we will call you back very rudely. After a week went by I still have not heard back from the vet. I called back to see if anything has come in and a staff member said I was upsetting the staff by calling to check on my dogs results. So after 9 days I call back just for the staff member to say the lab never received his biopsy they had misplaced it. I am so upset with the vets & staff they have been very unprofessional and the staffs attitudes have been extremely rude. I have been asking to speak with the vet several times and he has yet to call me back. I will never go back and I hope this helps others to find a wonderful place to take their fur babies.

My first experience here was with my cat who was dying. I couldnt get an appointment at another hospital and she needed some help. We ran multiple tests but eventually it came time for her to go. Once I made the decision to put her down, they were the nicest most sincere people about it. She passed peacefully. I also brought both of my dogs here. They handled the neuter of my corgi, as well as his medical hiccups such as ear infections and a UTI very well. They always saw us quickly and loved on my corgi very sweetly. I felt that he was in good hands with them. They also treated my border collie for her anxiety. We discussed a lot of options before deciding to go with medication for her. They also were able to see us immediately when she ate a chicken bone. They always called with results, and would call to check up on my dogs after seeing them. It was a great experience. The staff were great! Overall we had a positive experience here and I recommend them to anyone in Roanoke!

This was our first visit to Pet Vet and our experience was fantastic. I was unable to make an appointment at our usual vet and quickly remembered seeing the bright green sign for Pet Vet on Electric Road. I immediately called and explained that I believed one of our dogs had an infection that needed attention as soon as possible - though they had no appointments available they willingly took my dog early in the afternoon and promised to have the vet check her out between appointments. Everyone I spoke with was incredibly friendly, the vet was very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, and I felt at ease having to leave my dog there for several hours. What more could you ask for? Overall, it was a great experience for both me and my dog - my husband and I will definitely make the switch to Pet Vet for our other four animals!

Love the Doctors and staff! My previous vet was not patient with one of my dogs needs. They stressed him to where it was difficult to have him examined or draw blood without expensive anesthesia. The folks at Pet Vet understood his prompts and didnt push him past his comfort level. They did his exam and blood work in stages during his appointment. Our visit was $100 cheaper than the previous vet too. I couldnt be happier with my decision to switch to them.

This was my first time taking my babies to Pet Vet. The staff was wonderful and treated my dachshunds like gold. They had all their shots, nails cut, glands expressed, got antibiotics, anti itch meds, and heartworm meds for a lower price than I would have expected for one dog, much less two! This place rocks! My dogs were not stressed out at all when we left. It was a great experience! Thank you!

We love this place, girls are very friendly and the female vet is very caring and loving with Junior. Hes a rambunctious 65 lb muttable and the vet loves, and loves on him. Thank goodness we only had routine and small issues so far but we wont hesitate to take Junior back in any situation.

I have been taking my 3 dogs to PetVet Roanoke since 2011. They are always friendly and helpful. The staff is very knowledgeable. The prices are moderate and they always work with me to find alternative solutions whenever treatment is too expensive for me.

The staff at Pet Vet were so kind and compassionate when it came time to euthanize my dog that had terminal cancer. They went to great lengths to make sure this process went as well as something like that could go. Dr Lindsay and the staff are the best.
