Went in Friday 3/11/16 after two days of a sore throat and cough, told strep was negative and it was a cold, Doctor refused to test for flu although I had not received my flu shot this year and I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and high risk for preterm labor. By Friday evening to early Saturday morning body aches, chills and fever set in, then by Saturday the cough was causing me to have difficulty breathing. Sunday early morning had to be rushed to our local Sentara ER by ambulance and then up to l&d as I was having contractions from the breathing complications from the flu that the hospital tested for and was positive. If I had been tested on Friday and could of started the tamiflu meds then I wouldnt have progressed so quickly over the weekend- apparently the flu test was not administered because the patient first doctor said he had not seen too many people with the actual flu this season and even spent five minutes talking about how low the risk was (untrue for unvaccinated pregnant women) and about how I should of went to my OB for my cold symptoms (not necessary when urgent care should be able to treat a cold even if your pregnant) this could have been a lot worse if I had continued to take the doctors orders to just rest and get vitamin c. Edited to add I apparently was attended to by Jamaal Searcy PA not an MD.

I came here because I had an ear infection, something that should have been a standard doctors visit under my plan with a small copay of $20. I should have known something was wrong when they wanted to be billed as a specialist (This is a general practice, btw, theyre listed in network as such in my plan as one of the doctors I can goto.) which is still just a slightly higher copay of $35. Color me surprised when I get a bill in the mail for $114. When I went to my insurance, they hadn’t billed this as a doctor’s visit, but as urgent care, IE: as an emergency room. The worst part is they never actually helped me. I didn’t get any antibotics or help for my ear infection and was told to come back another day after I had flushed my ears with Debrox. Thank god I didn’t come back to this pit because that would have been another $114 just to have someone look in my ear and tell me I had an ear infection. I went to Now Care instead who, as they are supposed to, billed a regular doctor’s visit as a regular doctor’s visit so it was just $20 to go there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I now have to go through the long task of trying to get this fixed simply because this walk-in clinic wants to lie and pretend they are an emergency room.

After coming in yesterday afternoon for a sore throat and strep test not one of the nurses or doctors asked about any symtomps the only information they asked me was what am I here for I simply said I believe I may have strep throat after sitting with a person in training while they were taking my information down they were extremely unattentive and rude as they discussed with the other employee about what she is going to do when she gets off and how bored she is. I am sitting here thinking is this the professional environment I thought I was in. Later on Im seen by a doctor who again does not ask me how I am feeling what other symptoms Im having nothing he does the swab test and it is negative sends me on my way with some numbing mediciation. Here I am again today in this office in a much more painful being I have bene here for over an hour and a half as Ive seen 4 people go before me that have arrived after me one lady who complained she cannot drive at night who has been waiting only 20 minutes was seen in no rush so here I wait still I will not be coming to this establishment again they do not have good customer service skills and do not take their jobs seriously.

I went in for a possible broken tailbone and bleeding. When taken back and put in my room everything was going well. Dr Bryan came in and asked what happened told him and he then goes ok Im going to get a nurse to come in and check me for the bleeding. Comes back tells me everything looks good in the bleeding area. Asked if he going to do any x ray for my tail bone he proceeds to say no and refuses to even check if my tail bone. He then ask repeatedly if I ate anything with dye told him no I dont eat dye. He then makes the remarks "well twinkies have dye. I was then getting pissed and repeated I dont eat foods with dyes I dont eat processed foods just cause I am over weight doesnt mean I eat garbage. He brushed me off and released me. My tail bone still in so much pain the main reason I went in. I will never go back to this one again. Gives me my release papers and in the recommended section says lose weight and exercise are you kidding me I know what I need to do thats why I am exercising and eating better rude ass.

I made the mistake and came to this place twice. The first time I went in for a very bad cough. I got a chest X-ray and doctors said everything looked fine. I got a phone call two days later from a nurse and she told me I actually had bronchitis! I went in this morning because of a very bad sore throat and night sweats. I waited for about an hour and a half. While waiting for the doctor, I saw another doctor (the same one I had from my first visit a few weeks ago) walk in and out of a patients room. I could clearly tell how frustrated he was with the patient and it really bothered me. My doctor finally came in and it was a 2 minute visit... The doctor prescribed me some numbing medication and told me to take Advil because my test came back negative for strep. Im actually in more pain right now... I cant drink or eat anything because of my sore throat. Do not go to patient first on Indian river! They are only there to get a check. It is evident that they do not care about the well being of their patients!!!!

I just witnessed 6 patient rooms be "cleaned" by them removing the tissue paper from the bed and replacing in with new tissue paper. They didnt sanitize the beds or wipe down anything in the room. One of the rooms had a man who was coughing, and sneezing, with a runny nose. He would wipe his nose with his bare hands and place them directly on plastic blue mattress. After he left all they did was remove the tissue paper and immediately put another patient in the room. Clear violation of sanitation and patient safety. I brought it up to the manager who was actually standing at the nurses station watching everything unfold and doing nothing. I refused to be seen and left. I am pleading with everyone not to go here under any circumstances.

Terrible service...Ive been there four times (each occasion wasnt serious enough to go to a hospital but needed antibiotics). The shortest amount of time I have waited to see a doctor (from lobby to actual doctor) is an hour....the longest was two and a half. And once you finally SEE the doctor, you basically have to diagnose yourself. The tests they perform are a joke, and three times now they have told me they have no idea what was wrong and I should go see an (insert specialist type here). The only reason Ive bothered to go so many times is because I can get my prescriptions filled there, and if I know whats wrong with me theres no point in jumping through all the other hoops. But I would NOT recommend this place!
