I should start by saying that I never actually got the chance to go to Warwick Manor. I reached out to the owner of another rehab because with it being winter, very cold, and currently using Medicaid, I was having a very difficult time finding a bed. Ive been to 4 inpatients since 2002, and had put together 8 years of continuous sobriety from 2005-2013, but unfortunately went back out and have had a tough time getting some substantial time since relapsing. Ms. Porto recommended Warwick Manor so I gave them a call. I did my intake with Helen on Monday, and she told me she could have a bed for me on Friday, which was the best I had, so I was excited. Then something happened that should never happen at a place thats built to help people and provide an opportunity to get clean and sober. A female member from my old homegroup heard I was going back to treatment and she reached out to me to find out where. When she called, I told her that WM was recommended to me, so she decided to reach out. She also spoke to Helen, and was promised a bed next Wednesday, but was told to call everyday in case there were no shows or cancels. She was then told that since she knew me, she either needed to cancel her bed or I couldnt get mine. Now, I need to mention that we are not close friends. I dont even have her phone number saved, and hadnt seen her in a long time. This morning, I called Helen to also see if there was a bed open early, like I had been doing, and Helen pretended to have no idea who I was. She said she had no record of my intake interview, and did not have me on the list for Friday. I told her she had to be mistaken or spelled my name wrong. She continued to deny it all. I was shocked and devastated because I need help so bad right now. Shortly after I got off the phone with Helen, I spoke to the homegroup member and she said she had a similar conversation with Helen, but still had her bed for next week. She too had some substantial clean time before, and was shocked that thus was occurring as well. She felt bad that this was happening, and called and spoke to the Clinical Director. He explained that they have a policy that friends cant come to their facility at the same time. She explained that were not friends, but merely acqaintences from the same home group. He said that he considered that the same, and wouldnt budge. Thankfully, while I wasnt able to find a facility that took Medicaid, I was able to get a bed for tomorrow at the rehab I went to back in April. Honestly, even if they decided to allow me to come, and my friend gave up her bed, I wouldnt do it based on this experience. I question how helpful theyd be once I was there after pulling a stunt like this. Especially Helen telling me she had no recollection of me. After speaking to her for about 20 minutes, she pretended to be so upset that she couldnt get me in until Friday. I also called the director to ask him about it at 10:30am, less than an hour after the other woman spoke to him, I was told he left for the day. Again, how helpful will he be if he was either avoiding my call, or really left for the day at 10:30am. I was so hopeful after hearing her like that, and felt like this was the time Id get sobriety back. Thankfully, I found somewhere else that I believe will give me that help and opportunity I need. Ill end with saying that this review shouldnt reflect all WM employees, but like they say "$#!T runs down hill", so Id be hesitant to put your willingness in their hands. If anything, I hope this review will open their eyes a bit.

This place is ridiculous. I cant even understand how they are still running. I would call and be lucky for Helen to answer when transfer to admissions. So would leave a message if there was no answer and even tho she says to allow 24 hours for her to return your call she doesnt. I was also told there was an opening and when that day came they acted like they never spoke to me and I wasnt on the list for a bed. So then I was told I needed to do an evaluation before I could even get a bed there. Which I went and did. Afterwards I tried to call them and so did the place that did the evaluation and got no answer. A day or so later Helen called back and I missed the call and she told.me.to.call her back so that we could do a phone interview and get me in there as soon as possible. Well I called back like 5 mins after missing the call and guess what?!?!? No answer ofcourse so again I left another message and have yet received a back and it has been about a week. This place is a freaking joke and deserves to be shut down or atleast hire new staff

This place is a joke .They dont return calls, and lie to you. They dislike and ignore family members, and councelors from other facilities. They are totally unprofessional ,and should be shut down. What a shame with all the herion deaths that happening across this state and the US.If you have any legal issues ,they will not help you or address them at all,and you could go to jail before or while you are there. They will actually hang the phone up on you,or pretend they did not receive the call. Its more like Warlock Manor. What a bad joke this place is.My daughter will most likely go to jail for 18 months in part of Warwick Manor promising a letter of acceceptence into there program ,then changing their mind.Shame on them .Warwick Manor should be liable for giving false hope to addicts then not even responding to their request for treatmeant

Nice people to speak with, however they gave ZERO information as to what I would need to bring with me for the inpatient program. Didnt even direct me to their site for information. Would NOT give me ANY INFORMATION regarding the intake process, was told to call the morning of between 09/0930 and had to be there by 1500. I chose not to go with them due to total lack of professionalism.

These people are extremely rude and unprofessional. I called simply for admission intake. I spoke to a rude clerk and was transferred to someone named Helen who was insenestive to my addiction issue but more concerned about how she could bill my inpatient treatment. Wow...this was my initial call to WM. Treatment should be loving n caring... Not rude

Warwick manor is a treatment facility, not a resort. Very structured and well operated. I would highly recommend them. The staff is phenomenal and they provide the material you need to hear as an addict to another. You need there consistency and dedication to want a clean and sober life.
