This place needs to get it together, and they should start with a new receptionist. I called several ophthalmologist last week to make an appointment but could not find anyone that accepted my insurance until Dr. Hay. The reviews were not promising, but I needed to be seen. His receptionist took all of my info and scheduled my appointment a week out, they could not get me in any sooner. Ok, fine, I can live with this aggravating eye issue one more week, not the end of the world. When I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early today, she needed to double check to see if I was actually in network. What?! So I waited, and waited, and waited... and listened to the receptionist share her opinions on Obama. Then I waited longer.. only to find out I am out of network! They needed a huge about of money before they would see me. Hey- Dr. Hay- your receptionist/front office staff is your bottom line... My opinion of your office is terrible because of your awful receptionist! Sharing your political opinions over the front desk with someone that is so obviously uninterested is just uncalled for at the doctors office.

Dr Hay is listed as an in network dr for my Blue Cross. there for should of only charged me $60.00 ran my card for $250.00 Then I get a statement from Blue Cross that he also charged them $160.00. Also should the reseptionest be the one to put drops in eyes in lobby.? She then goes back to taking payments answering phone with out washing hands between patience. Hope no one catches anything contagious. The Dr has good credentials but needs to run the office better.

Turned down to bring cash for office visit. Wont accept a lot of insurance. Would not recommend!
