My experience with Parkway started around July of 2015. A dear friend and Chiropractor helped me get the required MRI and referral. I had never tried injections of any kind since my neck surgery in 1999. Years of headaches, nerve pain, and muscle spasms found me desperate after our move to PA. First, it was a 2 month struggle of being tossed back and forth before my first appointment between a surgeon I never met and the Pain Management department. I was in tears when they knocked me out of the system for my first appointment - no one had seen my MRI or met me but some surgeon determined I wasnt worth her time for a consultation, and I had another 45 days to wait my turn for an appointment with a Pain Management doctor. Dr. Leslie Foster is no longer with Parkway and he was the only bright spot to my experience with this operation. You are nothing more than a number to the front office staff - your appointments get messed up. My biggest frustration is that no doctors seem to read MRIs anymore. They read a type written radiology report. My Chiropractor friend was the only doctor who read my MRIs, and made personal notations onto screen shot files. Those are what finally convinced Parkway I needed help. I have no problem with their conservative approach to medication. That is my preference. The trigger point injections were very helpful, and every face to face experience with Dr. Foster was amazing. He was very personable and I was thrilled (finally) to find a good doctor. Unfortunately, he left Parkway around the end of last year. I was so disappointed and frustrated. They made my next appointment with a nurse practitioner in the Chambersburg location. The problem being, besides the fact that it takes forever to get appointments, he wasnt licensed to give nearly the number of injections I received from Dr. Foster, nor able to give them in all the neck areas that helped me most. I was suppose to be approved 3 different times for botox designed to block migraines. Every time I came in for injections expecting to also receive the headache blocks, its like it was the first time wed had the conversation with the office staff assigned to get my insurance approval. Youll find that any communication by telephone is impossible. Getting around the huge stonewall is impossible. I never went back after meeting with the Nurse Practitioner. I now see a licensed doctor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management who has his own practice. It is personalized, organized, and I am SO happy. I hope Dr. Foster is well - I have only good things to say about him. But Parkway will go down as one of my many negative experiences with medical practices who are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Going there was absolutely thee worst experience of my life. Whoever fills out medical reports to be faxed to employers is an incompetent idiot and does not follow directions on the forms. You would think that paying $40.00 to fax a one page form that she would get it right, not even close. Needless to say, I wont be going back to the one in Hagerstown ever again, no matter how much pain Im in. If you need a neurosurgeon or pain management, the doctors are good. If youre going to need paperwork filled out for insurance or to return to work in a timely manner and done correctly, Im telling you....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ! Or you will regret it. The PNSI in Hagerstown is a joke! You would be better off getting treatment in a box truck in a dark alley behind a strip mall then going to PNSI in Hagerstown. At least you would get your paperwork done correctly and get an insurance check on time and be able to pay your bills on time.

I was referred here 2010 for minor narrowing of Cervical Spine with swollen neck Glands. No treatment needed. My DOB was wrong & I was denied medical records. 2013-2014 I suffered from work Injuries, that were Misdiagnosed. 2015, I received MRI of one of my injuries here but I was denied appointment for treatment. I was referred here again by John Hopkins 2016 after I fell at Merius & received Epidurals at Meritus. I was denied to see Surgeon. I now suffer with Permeant Damage. I have Permeant Damage in Shoulder, Pectoral Muscle & Spine. Thanks for Nothing! Misdiagnosis causes Permeant Damage! Doctors too busy defending other doctors & companies instead of treating patients.

My wife was referred here from the orthopedic specialist about a month ago. She was seen by PA Frey on her visit. She was given an option of shots in her back for temporary relief then surgery or just surgery. Well she told him just schedule the surgery. Well that was well over 4 weeks ago . We called the insurance company to see if they even called them for surgery approval , the insurance company had No record of any paper work being filed or any communication from the Drs office.I hope all your patients dont get treated this way. Im not sure whats the problem with this office but what a waste of time.

Just like the rest. My wife went here for neck problems and they didnt do anything but prescribe pain medications and tell her there was nothing they could do. Pitiful for being supposed professionals! Anybody can prescribe medication. It takes a real doctor to fix the problem. What theyre being paid to do! Mr. Probst doesnt know how to talk to patients! Telling my wife that she no longer has the body of a 12 year old! What kind of doctor says that! Very very unprofessional!

I am 89 years old my xrays and MRIs show my back is in pretty bad condition. Dr. Waheed has been wonderful in trying to help me with what I have to work with. I am most grateful for this. He does not give up on me. It is all helping. But there is a lot there to help but he keeps helping me a little more each time. Faith helps me understand what and why things are done and what to expect.

The therapists gave me the importance of having good posture, stronger core muscles, and proper stretching for my lower back problems. The therapists were so adroit in the exercises that made my back stronger and more mobile. After all the exercise sessions and my home exercises I have made great strides to alleviate the lower back pain. .

Doctors are okay but billing office kept sending a bill for $40 saying that I did not cancel an appointment which I did. They threatened me with collections so I finally paid the $40. I wonder if I should send them a bill for all of my time that I have to sit in their office and wait?

very happy Dr Chen is back with Parkway. I have been with Parkway Neuro since 2006 and was happy it was brought back into the fold. I like having one location for neuromuscluar problems. Dr. Chen is great, very calmimng , reassuring person and you dont feel like a number to her.
