Years ago I went there several times with slowly but steadily worsening symptoms that everyone I speak to is amazed they never bothered to be curious enough to recommend blood work on for years untill I was nearly in a coma. Billing and service wise, its really bad too. So now Im on medicine for the rest of my life. Ive perhaps foolishly been using these people for well over a decade. Whenever I go in for an appointment Ive paid whatever balance due they mention. Sometimes Id get a letter from the insurance company as well as these people showing fees and insurance compensation changing back and fourth, so whenever Id show up for my regular appointments Id ask and make sure it was paid up. Ive been paying the bill in person for many years this way. Theyve seemed happy. They required an appointment for me to get a refill, but without warning I am blocked from being seen untill I pay a balance I never was told about before by a Doctor Evans whom I am pretty sure was not one of the doctors I was normally given appointments with. Its not even all that big of a bill that was due mind you. Just some few hundreds. I offer to pay it, and although they were willing to accept the money of course, I am warned that some Dr Evans said I would be "dropped from the practice" if it happens again. Rather than randomly be refused service without warning when I require medicine to stay healthy I clearly needed to go somewhere else. I show up in person to pay this balance, and the lady at the desk at first couldnt even find that balance as being due. It took her some time and found out it was for my close family member that theyve organized seperately however they internally decide on things. So it seems like they are going to seperate the balances between family members, not tell the one showing up untill they refuse service to different family members whose name isnt even on the same balance due in their computer and who are low on medicine they need to stay healthy, and they will do this without warning. As well as deal with some Doctor who treat patients this way, even ones who arent normally his. I paid off all what they said they were owed of course because it was for my close family member, but they then are unable to even give me my medical records while I am there, because its been "outsourced". They always seem to have my medical records when I have an appointment with someone, but as soon as you try to leave their Practice they somehow are "outsourced" and not available for me to take somewhere else. For your own well being I cannot advise against this outfit more. Be Warned.

I love my primary care physician, Dr Golub, however getting an appointment to see him takes time and when I dont feel well I get whoever is available if there is someone. A few members of the support staff are very nice, but others are rude on the phone which doesnt help someone that is already feeling sick. Recently, I have started going to a Drs offices next to my house that offers after hours walk in "urgent care" that bills the same as an office visit and Ive found that they have been more accommodating and caring that my own primary care office. I feel like when I go to Piedmont Primary Care they often try and throw something at the problem and hope it sticks instead of taking the time to diagnose me. (Again, not true of my primary physician) Point in case, I went to the after hours clinic Friday, got mediocre treatment and was told to come back in a week if I still didnt feel better and they would do the same test again even though it was negative. I did call today, to try and get an appointment with my own Dr, however, as expected he is booked all week and Im getting worse. After I made an appointment with someone else, I realized that I am just making this worse by giving in to it. I plan on canceling that appointment and going to the clinic next to my house tonight instead.

Im shocked that this could potentially be the same practice I attend. Ive been a patient here since Dr. Gravette (at LEAST 20 years) and have been through all the changes this practice has had. Given yes, there are times where it is difficult to get through to the receptionist or they cant always cater to my needs but I have never had a unpleasant experience. People, its a doctors office, one of the best ones in town, thus, they cant always jump when you say jump. I am a loyal patient of Angelinas and if I cannot get in to see her, especially since she doesnt work every day, I see Katrina. They spend TIME with me and listen to my symptoms before throwing a diagnose or medications at me. I really value the staff here. Ive been a few times lately for various medical concerns and I have complimented my nurse every time I go in. I wish I could remember her name, but she is always so pleasant and starts conversation to ease my worries. So charismatic! I love this office and will never leave it. I even turned down my previous employers insurance policies because they didnt offer one that this office work with. Test it out for yourself before listening to some of the crackpots on here.

As of today I am a former patient, scheduled an appointment yesterday for today. I do not live in the area and make a special trip just to see them, in the two years I had been going there I had never seen the doctor, only the PA. When I arrived for the appointment was told that I was 45 minutes late, I explained that when making the appointment I had been quoted two times and I confirmed the time of the appointment. The very rude receptionist said that it was my fault and I was late. She said they would be unable to accommodate me. Said I could come back in the evening for urgent appointment. I have sciatica nerve issues. She again said I should have been on time, not believing that their office could have made a mistake. There were no other doctors or PA available. Her attitude was deplorable and rude. Will NOT be going back, if this is representative of their customer service I will take my business elsewhere. Stay away from Piedmont Family Practice.

After reading these reviews I am wondering if this is the same place I go to? My whole family, Mother, myself, daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law all go to Piedmont and are with Dr. Jorge Minera. We LOVE him. He is one of the most kind, attentive, loving doctors we have ever had. His staff, especially Meghan, are wonderful! Since 2006 we have been with him, and we will continue to be with him. I have recommended him to many of my co-workers due to his compassion, and attentiveness to detail. The staff in the reception area have never been the "touchy, feely" type, but they are very pleasant, hard working women. Im so sorry that others have had such a bad experience with their doctors/PA in this practice.

Dr. Golub is the best doctor I have ever had in my life. I have moved to many communities over the years and I have had many family doctors and I will say he is simply the best. He really takes his time to get to know you and your medical issues. My first appointment with him was scheduled simply for him to meet me and get a baseline of my past medical history. He really took time with both me and my wife. Every visit ends with him asking if there is anything else bothering me today or if I have any needs that we havent discussed in our appointment today. He really cares about his patients and strives to give the best care possible. He is Amazing. Hopefully, someday, he will teach new doctors !!!
