Absolutely impressed. After receiving questionable care from a previous provider, with significant laser scarring (my opinion), I received a recommendation to see Dr. Myers from my endocrinologist. I followed her from her previous practice in Renton to her current location in Federal Way. Her credentials relating to retinal care are impressive. She takes the time to clearly describe the medical condition of your eyes, in terms that are understandable, and thoroughly answers any questions and concerns. Ive had laser treatments and injections to treat macula degeneration and retinopathy. Thanks to her appropriately aggressive but not over-agressive treatment, Ive required no shots or laser treatment for a couple years now. Routine follow-up care has been very thorough, accompanied by thorough explanations. I ABSOLUTELY recommend her for any retina or macula care you may need. I am so impressed that upon my relocation out of Washington state, I will continue my routine exams with her office every several months despite having to travel from Oklahoma City.

how can you say you loved it. getting a shot in the eye is not something you look forward too. As a 74 year old, I have been to many doctors over the years, but have never had any eye problems until a little over a year ago. Dr Myers setup there is as slick as you can get. EXTREMELY THROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL, After having to go to a different one while in another part of the country, I noticed that her equipment was comparatively more up to date. The pictures were definitely of higher resolution. With her you picked one of the best. Oh yes, she really does a fantastic job of reducing the negative aspects of the treatments, that is especially the slight amount of discomfort with the injections. She progresses the numbing to where a dental shot is MUCH more uncomfortable than the eye shot.

The assistants were polite and professional. But the doctor overbooks patients and makes them wait hours upon hours to be seen. I was not informed that I would have to wait that long otherwise I would have found another doctor. At one point I was sat in a room and basically forgotten. No one checked up on me. No one should have to wait two hours to see a doctor. It was a terrible experience and I recommend finding a doctor who cares more about the client experience then overbooking in order to make money.

Superb care. I wont trust my eyes to anyone else. In fact, I wish she were all of my doctors rolled into one. In response to the ONE negative review...Ive been going to Dr. Powell for several years and have NEVER had to wait any longer than normal at a doctors office.
