I have to go for a annual physical to keep my medications. I have multiple diagnosis and multiple medications. You need to keep yourself informed of what medicines you need because no one cares. When I go for an appointment I make sure I take a print out of all my medicines...the staff nor the doctor have any clue as to what all my diagnosis are nor are they interested. The new doctor although seems nice enough he speaks with a heavy accent that I cant hear so communication is frustrating. Doctor himself is so frustrated with the computer system that it takes him forever to order each and every medicine and doesnt have the attention he needs to really look at the patient. The nurse that I see first is pretty lame and if you are really sick and need the attention of staff this is not the clinic to be seen at. Most staff are just plain not a happy group...not a good atmosphere. Especially the blood draw gal...if she ever smiled I would be shocked. The entire place just seems to have an attitude. It is hot and stuffy throughout the 3rd floor. You will not get good medical care at this clinic so if you have any other means of healthcare take it. If you just need to renew your medications every year this is as good as another. it just so happens my wife is a nurse and takes care of all my paperwork and can answer all the doctors questions. But if you truly need some serious healthcare that requires pain medicine you will not get it at the VA. The VA does not prescribe pain medicine period for any reason...at least not to retired Vets.

Not that there are not things that could be better, but I doubt most of that is within the staffs control here. With that said I have had an excellent, customer friendly experience with all staff here. PA Galvin has been some of the best Medical Care I have had to date in the VA System. And he sure seems to care about us vets (he is one). I do believe that PA Galvin may have very well saved my life when he found something and sent me over to the hospital during a routine visit. Kudos to all of the staff I have dealt with (except the one that wrote in my record that I did not want to get healther, when I was with her, due to an appointment I had set to get healthier - I would actually like to see that corrected!).
