I gave them 1 star just because I couldn’t give negative ratings. I had my dental clean there one month ago and the experience was terrible. It was my first time and last time to visit their office. My appointment was with Greene. A hygienist called Merina took care of me. After taking X-ray of my teeth, she said I didn’t have cavities but I have teeth grinding issue and need refilling. I didn’t know I ground during night time and my teeth were fine. My previous dentist never said I had this problem. I was there just to do standard teeth cleaning. I asked Greene about refilling, he said it is very fast and is covered by my insurance. I agreed to do so because I thought it was just filling something in my teeth and was not harmful. However, when he started it, I realized he actually used a tool to grind my good teeth! They never told me that they need to grind my teeth before refilling them! I wouldn’t let them to do so if I knew that! But when I was aware of this, the grinding job was already done. Merina spent another several minutes to fill my teeth. I was not sure if the whole decision was right or not because they ground my teeth. I consulted another dentist friend later that night. He told me that they should not grind and refill my teeth just after a 10 minutes check-up. If I had grinding problem, they should find out the cause and solve the grinding problem first. A night guard is a good attempt to start. Refilling should be considered only when other ways were failed. Actually, refilling didn’t help much on grinding issue and the grinding on my teeth will damage them and cause secondary caries. They chose to do this maybe because this is a fast way to earn money. Now I understood why they recommended refilling. They said I have 10+ teeth need to be refilled and they refilled them in several minutes and billed insurance company for $1500+. It was indeed fast. I called them the next day and tried to talk to Merina to discuss about why they didn’t give me options and didn’t tell me they needed to grind my teeth before refilling. She wasn’t available and I asked the front desk to tell her to call me back, but never get a call from them. Two of my teeth they ground are having continuous pain now. I don’t know how many more of my 10+ teeth will come to the same situation. In short, this is a greedy clinic that only cares about money and does not mind to grind you good teeth and refill them to get fast money. If you want to protect your teeth, don’t go there.

TL;DR: If you have any anxiety about dentistry, do not go here. I came in to get a few fillings done, and made it really clear to everyone that I experience anxiety from shots and drills. Dr. Greenes staff is amazing and was very accommodating to this. I talked to the staff about it and eventually felt very calm about getting my teeth done. I was ready to get started. Then, Dr. Greene came in and I immediately explained my anxiety in brevity, but I felt ignored as he responded with indifference. In a hurried attitude, he began by putting some anesthetic on a swab and put it in my mouth despite telling him that I needed a moment to relax. I was already out of control and was removed from my comfort zone. I made this aware, but he didnt seem to care at all. Then, for some reason, Dr. Greene thought it would be a good idea to suddenly try to put a shot in my mouth without any warning whatsoever despite our conversation. I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and in response, I put my hand by my mouth to block it. I told him outright that I cannot handle sudden movements, and you know what he did in response? He grabbed my hand, pulled it away with force, and tried to put the shot back in my mouth! So I sat up. Dr. Greene reacted by raising his voice slightly and claimed that I was fighting with him! He then proceeded to give me a deliberate guilt trip about how Ill have to see a specialty dentist that helps "my type" of patients. I felt belittled and did not appreciate his tone of voice, especially because this was an entirely appropriate reaction to his extremely poor decisions. He knew what he was doing, did not care, and I got blamed for it. Despite being nervous at the dentist, this is the first time I have ever backed out of an appointment. Contrary to Dr. Greenes belief, I do not need to see a specialty dentist; I need to have a dentist that simply listens to their patients just like everybody else. Getting your hand pulled away from your face is not normal, and I dont need to go to a specialty clinic just to have a dentist that listens to their patients. If you want to run in, get work done in a hurry, and leave, then this practice might be a positive experience for you. For everyone else, please dont worsen your problems by having to experience what I had to go through!

I worked as a temp for "Dr. Greene". Incompetent, incredibly insecure individual would be putting it mildly. True story time: I sat a young man in an operatory. Knowing he was going to be waiting a bit, I offered him a magazine from a rack on the wall. Dont remember the details, but he had been cracking jokes on the way in, and I thought it appropriate to respond in kind: "Would you care for a magazine, Mr. X?" "Well dont mind if I do!" "Well then, take two, theyre small!" (chuckle). Dr. Greene, evidently passing by, popped his tiny head in: "XX, would you mind coming with me, please?!" He walks into a file closet (!) and proceeds to give me a DRESSING DOWN, ending with "YOU dont make the jokes around here, -I- make the jokes around here, do you UNDERSTAND?!" No joke. No hyperbole. This is what he said. To me. I was scolded. For saying a mildly unrobotic thing to a patient. He "dismissed" me shortly after by slapping me on my shoulder while I was in the process of handling contaminated instruments and informed me "We wont be NEEDING YOU any more!" I left. Went to pick up the check a couple days later, he shorted me a couple hundred dollars. I had to go back inside and request the total on threat of contacting the temp agency. Receptionist came back with a check for the total (whopping) amount. In explaining to the temp lady why I would not be willing to go back, she sheepishly admitted to me that Green "went through a lot of temps who had similar experiences; hes difficult to place". You dont say. In short, I found this person to be a most unprofessional, miserable little man. Please note: I have absolutely NOTHING to gain by writing this review. I happened to see his name by chance, and I can only hope this might steer a potential client to a better, more stable and qualified dentist without quite so many issues.

INCOMPETENT. TERRIBLE. JACKASS I have been visiting Dr. Benjamin Greene’s office twice a year for the last few years, just for teeth cleaning. The hygienist Julie is very nice and professional, and I was always happy with the result. Every time I would get this done Dr. Greene kept insisting that I need to have fillings done to my upper teeth (5th and 6th), even though I never had any problems with those teeth and they never bothered me. So, finally after years of warnings I decided to trust Dr. Greene and get the teeth fixed. The next day after I had the filling done, my teeth (5th and 6th) started hurting really bad. Also, my lower lip that was hardly wounded during the appointment became swollen and started throbbing with pain… I called immediately to the dentist and scheduled the appointment. Finally, a week later when I saw Dr. Greene again I asked him to do the x-ray and see what is going on with my teeth. The dentist refused to do anything… He stated that teeth are supposed to hurt now like this, since I got them fixed… What???!!! Regarding my wounded lips he just said: “Whoops… why we would do that…” and without any excuses he’s left. Horrible! I have been living in a horrible pain for almost four weeks now. I feel like I never had the problem fixed, … And I feel that I never even had the problem at the first place!
