Dr. Hart is affiliated with Fairwood Animal Hospital on Hastings Road in Spoke however this is a small clinic in Fairwood-Renton. I was looking for a vet in Renton so I looked up this animal clinic hoping it would have better reviews since my last visit and sadly it hasnt. Fifteen years ago, I purchased a Boston Terrier from the Fairwood Pet Center and along with my purchase I received a free health exam at Fairwood Animal Clinic. I figured since the pet store was recommending him then he must really be good so I was excited that I didnt need to go through the trouble of finding a vet myself. The visit was very short indeed. This was my first pricy pup ($800) so I wanted to discuss how I should care for it but after the exam he was ready to leave the room, I could tell he really didnt want to talk to much so I didnt press him further. I left thinking perhaps he was busy or behind schedule so maybe Ill catch him better next visit. I took my pup back for its shots and again, he was in and out and not much of a talker. I chalked it up to a person who could be uncomfortable with people he does not personally know. Thanks for the service but no thanks. I took my pet to a nearby vet and when I left my jaw was practically on the floor. I found out Fairwood Pet Center sold me a pup that was bred and raised in a known puppy mill; Fairwood Animal Clinic knew and didnt say a word. Why would he? Afterall the pet center recommended him so he was getting some kind of compensation so why would he tell an owner anything? I hope this clinic has unaffiliated itself from the pet store otherwise they have no morals.

Weve been going to the Fairwood Animal Clinic for nearly 5 years. We have a small dog and five cats. The Dr. gives very short exams, 5 minutes maximum, shortest exams ever given by a vet. Frankly, he has been just ok, but his receptionist is amazing, Michelle, and I adore her. Today I drove up right when they opened back up from lunch because I found my cat in a pool of blood. They refused to even look at him because they were "completely booked every 15 minutes". I used to work as a nurse for a doctor, when we had sick people, we saw them, we did not turn them away. We are the "bread and butter" of his practice, we come up with an emergency and he cant see us. Well youre right you cant see us again in the future either.

Response to review by Rainleegen: Fairwood Animal Clinic is not, and has never been, affiliated with Fairwood Pet Center. We do not do free exams for them nor do we get a kickdown, and we have never done exams for them. They use Animal Healthcare Center on Renton Center Way. We would never condone puppy mills, and do not appreciate being labeled incorrectly as such. Thank you.

They were patient and gentle with my 17 year old kitty. They were very calm and kind, laid out pros and cons of treatment options, and spent time talking with me. Also, the office is clean and fresh smelling, not at all like some places Ive been. They have a permanent client in me, and I strongly recommend them. Thanks, from Sue and Tiger.

Just got off the phone with a very rude female in Accounts Receivable. Dr. Hart apparently does not believe in doing business with local companies. Rude and I will never go there with my pets. Lost a sizable account. Why cant businesses realize they are the spokes persons for a business and give an impression to future customers?

Nice and clean! Trimmed my friends dog nails extremely fast. I guess it was cheap; I wouldve just cut them myself. Myself if it was my dog. Didnt smell of animal, that was refreshing.

I have been taking my dog here for two years. The prices are reasonable, and the care is professional. Probably most important, they love my dog as much as I do!

Our family has been happy with this clinic for seven years. That is a long time in dog years, of course.
