100% regretful. At age 45 I wore contacts to see far and my normal up-close vision (without contacts) was great. I explained during my consultation at Restore that I was looking forward to life without contacts and glasses and I was heavily involved in combat sports such as wrestling and boxing. Furthermore, my girlfriend who is 4 years younger had the surgery at Restore less than a year prior and experienced outstanding results. It was stated several times that I would “eventually” need reading glasses. Never was it said that I would need them instantly after the surgery. In addition I was told my vision would fluctuate during the first 3 months as my eyes were healing so not to worry. It is upsetting to say that 5 months later I cannot see well up close. Everything is a blurry mess. I used to be able to read with no problem. Now I can’t read a text message without holding my cell phone at arm’s length, use a camera to take photos with LCD screens, cut my fingernails, change a small screw from the back of my watch to install a new battery. My contacts took care of distance vision and I was able to see up close. I watched a video at Restore that illustrated the risks such as halos at night but nothing addressed this. After addressing my disappointment to the doctor he said he discussed “the loss of near” with me and that my “near vision would get much worse.” I never heard that I would “lose” anything!!! Everything was stated as “eventually.” I was not informed the surgery would accelerate the need, let alone the next day my near vision would be horrible. I was offered more surgery free of cost. I wish I could be put back the way I was to begin with. The last kicker is that after 5 months I am still using eye drops around the clock, especially in the morning. It feels like I fell asleep with my contacts in. So the perk of no longer having contacts is null when my eyes are so dry it feels like they’re in anyway and the excitement of no longer needing glasses is shattered when I need them for simple tasks and also for reading. Lastly, in my sports practice, do you think I want to wear glasses??

I had the LASIK procedure done in Dec of 2011, I have since been dealing with 6 months of chronic dry eye caused by the procedure. They got my $4,000 and I am looking at the very real possibility of dealing with this constant pain for the rest of my life. When seeking help from restore vision I was told they could put small silicone plugs in to help with the problem....for $300. If you have a complication as the result of their procedure your on your own, unless you fork over more money. I understood the risk so I am not complaining about the outcome, only the dismissive way Restore chose to deal with it. As much money as this procedure cost I was astounded that they chose to deal with the life altering condition that resulted from their procedure as another revenue source.

I had been thinking about getting LASIK done for years, but was unsure of where to go. There are so many places! And so many prices. Fortunately, a friend of mine went to Restore Vision Centers and raved about her experience. I knew immediately I was ready and had found where I wanted to get my procedure done. I could not have chosen a better place!! Everyone at RVC is very friendly, helpful, and caring. If I had questions or concerns before, during, or after my surgery, I knew I had plenty of resources. I am 110% satisfied with the results of my surgery. Dr. Walker and his staff are absolutely amazing and I will refer anyone and everyone who is interested in LASIK to that team. My experience was better than I could have ever imagined. :)

The top-of-their-class doctors explained everything thoroughly and intelligently. The bladeless procedure itself was no big deal...for me it was a lot easier than going to the dentist! My vision is now perfectly clear...more clear than I can ever remember it being. This is a tremendous relief for me to be free of glasses. Its certainly one of the best things Ive ever done for myself and Im really glad that I chose Restore Vision Center in Renton as the place to have it done.

I had bladeless lasik surgery at Restore Vision Centers in Renton just over a year ago. At my one-year follow-up I blew past the 20-20 line and missed one letter on the 20-15 line. The surgery also improved my night vision. I couldnt be happier!
