I am so thankful to have found Dr. Mamiko and her team! My son developed a very strong fear of the dentist after his first dental experience resulted in dental abuse by his former dentist, now nationally known as being criminally charged with such for many of his patients. I encountered many dentists who did not want to work with my son due to his severe anxiety. All he needed was a doctor who would listen to him and go slowly, explaining everything to him so he could develop trust and understand that his feelings mattered. This is exactly what Dr. Mamiko has done from the very first visit without my requesting! Other dentists almost seemed inconvenienced by this very simple, yet important step after I explained my sons history. My son had a lot of much needed work under general anesthesia in order to not further traumatize him, and is now ready for regular checkups and is actually looking forward to it. Dr. Hanna Kim was his anesthesiologist and was very thorough in explaining everything to ease this mommas worries about the process. I was given updates along the way during the procedure and I have never felt my child in safer hands than with these two. Hands down the best treatment by medical professionals that my 8 year old son has experienced thus far.

We had an absolute wonderful experience with Dr. Mamiko and Ballard Pediatric Dentistry. Heather, the dental assistant, was very thorough explaining the x-rays to my daughter so that she wasnt the least bit scared. Dr. Mamiko made a point to speak directly to my daughter explaining how to brush and floss her teeth and what foods are bad to eat. She was so gentle during the exam and the fluoride treatment was a breeze. She found a small cavity and painted the tooth with a material that prevented my daughter from needing a filling. Talk about easy! The office is modern, cool and my kids loved the "little" door. This was a very empowering visit for my kids and they will love going to the dentist! Thanks Dr. Mamiko!

We had an emergency situation and called Dr. Mamikos office in a pinch. She was extremely understanding and asked that we come in right away to have my daughter looked at without any hesitation. Dr. Mamiko herself and the staff were all so wonderful and made us actually feel welcome - and not an inconvenience in the least. We loved how our daughter was taken care of, the attention she received, and how we were educated about the issue thoroughly by Dr. Mamiko herself. We look forward to having Ballard Pediatric Dentistry as our source of dental care for our children from now on. We are beyond impressed by how we were all treated.

I took my oldest daughter in for her very first dental appointment (she is 6) last month. I cannot say enough about what a good experience it was! The receptionist was great, very friendly and kind. The hygienist, Heather, was amazing and obviously knew how to relate to little kids. She was funny and engaging and explained what was going to happen and what to do very very well. And Dr. Mamiko was also very good with my daughter, very friendly and kind, as well as professional. We had a great visit!
