Over the years, I have had some of the most upsetting and frightening experiences with going to the dentist. It was so bad that I waited nearly 14 years to go back to one. I had just recently moved to the Tacoma area, and desperately needed to get some dental work done. Dr. Kahn and the South Sound staff were very understanding, comforting, and caring. They were always certain to communicate with me on procedure, and were always checking with me to make sure that I was ok. I have a beautiful new smile, and confidence that I hadnt had in SO long. If I would have known that going to the dentist could be like this, I would have never waited so long. They are kind and caring there. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Im so thankful that I found South Sound Dental Care!!!

I visited South Sound Dental Care as a new patient today. I was called back on time and seen by a hygienist who was friendly, thorough, and knowledgable. Dr. Khan came to perform her exam shortly after my cleaning and she had already reviewed my X-rays and made notes. I needed a few procedures and the team was great about explaining costs and insurance benefits. Dr. Khan was honest with me about what needed to be done ASAP and what could wait. She definitely didnt seem like a dentist who would do unnecessary work. Dr. Khan was able to complete some of the work the same day. She and the hygienist went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Overall, it was a great experience and I am grateful I have found a reliable dentist in Tacoma!

Ive had many dentists and many more cavities. Despite my good home care, the idea of going to the dentist fills me with anxiety. However, this is THE BEST dental office Ive ever frequented. The physical office is in a super convenient location and is as inviting as it is comfortable. The staff are friendly, caring, informative, and dedicated to getting everything just right. Furthermore, not only is Dr. Khan a very considerate dentist, shes pretty funny as well (that could be the effect of the nitrous though). I cant recommended them all highly enough. If youve been putting off your visit, you better set an appointment here before word gets out and theyre no longer accepting new patients.

I really appreciate Dr. Khan and her entire staff at South Sound Dental. They are so friendly and professional and really care about how I’m doing, whether Im sitting in the chair or upon my arrival at the office. Each staff member is excellent in his/her service and professionalism. I always ask for Olga C. as her attention to detail, kindness and willingness to answer all my questions makes me feel comfortable about any dental procedures I have needed. Olga also has an eye for aesthetics which is very important in dentistry. She is a true artist! and thats why I highly recommend you ask for her when visiting South Sound Dental.

Extremely friendly staff that works here. Ive always been highly anxious when going to the dentist because of how much discomfort I usually experience. This was the first place to suggest nitrous to help with pain and its made a world of difference for me. I actually look forward to going now. Theyre completely open and upfront about all costs before any work is done so you never get surprised by the bill after the fact. Hands down the best dentist Ive had ever.

I called to confirm insurance and out of pocket for a filling. Office manager with an accent even called me back to confirm my co pay of $25. Appointment schedule, again conforming $25 co pay. Services rendered. I call to pay over the telephone and she said $225.00. She (same staff) denied information about co pay and argued with me. Just sheisty. Would not recommend and I ended up with front teeth that look like chicklets gum.

I dont like going to the dentist but this office made me feel so comfortable and cared for my dental health. All the staff was very friendly, the front desk and the assistants. Dr.Khan is a great doctor took good care of me and made me feel much better about going to the dentist. The atmosphere is great. I would highly recommend going to this office!

Ive been going to South Sound Dental for many years, when Dr. Khan took over the practice I was thrilled. She is very personable and easy to talk to. I still have the same hygienist Dave who is great too - very friendly and quick. Really, the whole staff is great and they recently remodeled so the atmosphere is really nice as well.

The staff was very nice. They all make sure that you are informed of many options. Thier hygienist Carri is really relaxed and answered every question genuinely. Great experience!
