There are always going to be different personalities in a group of people, but all I can describe is what Ive experienced. From the moment I first talked to Amber in intake, I started to feel hopeful that I found the right place. To say that she went above and beyond is an understatement. She is the friendliest person I have encountered at Rainier Associates, and probably one of the friendliest people I have encountered in my life in the past few months. ; ) She just really cares and wants to help. I knew that if things didnt work out with one doctor, she would help place me with another one. I just felt like someone was really trying to help me - finally. She gave me hope. My doctor, Marsha Cain, is a bit more no nonsense, but she cares – she cares about how your medications are working together; she cares about how your life in general is going; she cares enough to make sure that you agree with the summary shes writing down. She printed out a ton of information on my medication conflicts on my first visit & has urged me to get a therapist for trauma when I had been procrastinating. I have never counted all the diplomas/awards on her wall, but I think its safe to assume that she knows her stuff! She does type a fair amount during appointments - which was a little off putting at first, but I leave even a 15 to 20 minute appointment feeling like shes heard me, and Ive learned from her. Thus far, she has even given me things to do between appointments and I love that. She seems very strong in her decisions, but is compassionate enough to listen to your strong feelings & consider them & work with you. The receptionist has always been perfectly polite and nice, and the woman who handles the billing has *really* gone out of her way to help me. Its hard to read so many negative reviews. I would say that if people have a problem with their doctor, talk to the people in intake – theyre willing to work with you and may try to find someone else for you. So far, its been my experience that the people at Rainier Associates really do care. Im sure there are many clients, for whom the negative reviews would not be an accurate representation of their experience. It can just be a little difficult to opt to be transparent about views related to any kind of counseling - since posting review announces to the world that youve sought counseling. ; )

Dr. Thomas C Roe has treated me phenomenally. He treats me as a person, his energy creates a warm and safe environment free of judgement and gives you the impression that he enjoys what he does and loves to help people. He is very considerate of who I am and by that he gives me the impression of being culturally aware and respectful of all people. Ive seen various doctors but he is crème de la crème. He is always very patient, professional and has a pulse (meaning he has a sense of humor which means a lot to a comedian like myself.) Honestly, overall, I look forward to our appointments because its like "going on a treasure hunt" when we talk because he helps me uncover things in my life that have been buried for years which I assumed were never an issue and I end up discovering new parts of me, the good and the bad, the simple and the complex. I appreciate Dr. Roe highly and would recommend him to anyone...or thing that has a heartbeat!! So glad my last Dr. was booked and I couldnt see him because I ended up with one cool, compassionate and well educated psychologist!

My psychiatrist had recommended Dr. Cain for a loved one who suffered from anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, she was not available in a reasonable timeframe, so I stupidly accepted referral to Dr. Jackson. Had I taken 5 min to research him I would have seen his RateMD score of 1.5 and the nearly two year license probation. My loved ones medical and pharmacological background were completely ignored and they were prescribed a medication they knew to be ineffective against their wishes. Jackson was unwilling to justify his prescription, even though, as a medical professional, my loved one would have easily comprehended it. When I cancelled the next appointment with Dr. Jackson, the receptionist didnt even bother to ask about rescheduling. I can only assume this is common, as he has 3+ pages of complaints on RateMD all regarding the same issues, and these are the same issues for which he was reprimanded (source: Washington Dept of Health). However, Im sure theyre happy to cash the checks after the damage is done.

Worst group of people I have ever encountered. Utterly unprofessional and down right rude!!! I was blamed for miscommunication on their part and am fed up with their lack of concern. My advice to others: DO NOT SEEK HELP AT THIS LOCATION!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL!!! Please dont waste your time or money with these people, youll completely regret it as I do...

This place is awful they left me waiting for 45 minutes for my first appointment while my doctor sat around the corner and chatted with his co workers. When I complained they were rude and didnt offer to reschedule me. Never even saw a doctor. If I would have read the reviews I would never have even made an appt.

I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! George Jackson MD is suppose too be a PSYCHIATRIST but, he treats his patient ( meaning me) with disdain, contempt, judgmental and belittling. I was very dissatisfied with my experience and one that I would not wish upon anyone!
