Be sure to not get admitted here. I was brought up to the patient ward and it took 5.5 hours for someone to find out I was even in a room. If your IV kinks up for example, it alarms requiring you to hit the nurse button. Upon doing so, be prepared to wait 20 minutes until one of the nurses in the hall are done with their conversation about the family picnic. Oh, and you want to see a doctor? Lol. Want a glass of water? Lol. Save yourself some heartache and go to the WVU hospital up 81 a bit and enjoy that multi-million dollar operation up there. If any upper level personnel are seeing this, you will be hearing from me. I wanted to not believe all the horror VA stories so much but I guess it really is just a pathetic mess.

Wanted to leave a review for a friend that I currently work with from Front Royal. She spoke with me of her experiences of her father, a WWII vet, receiving treatment here. He suffered from dementia and the many physical issues that come with it. She described a caring staff from top to bottom that ensured that he was able to be admitted despite a potential long wait, collaboration with home services, clear instructions on medical treatment and medications, and overall friendly treatment in the face of having a love one near death. He passed away several years ago, but she often talks about the positive and helpful experiences she had assisting her father with receiving treatment here.

I was at my brother home when I began having serious pain on my left chest area we called the hospital ER room was advised they would see me right away, Upon arrival they took me right in and began a complete examination on me.The doctor after a Cat scan figured I had pulled muscles in my rib cage and gave me medicine which I might add worked within several hours.Everyone were very professional and I might add this took place on a Saturday morning and I had never been seen at any VA in the past,I have nothing but praise for the staff and the Doctor

Great medical service! Cant say enough about medical staff! However.... If you are a disabled vet and an emergency occurs where you need to go to local hospital - you are screwed!!! Expect local hospital bills for the next few years and your credit score is ruined
