Dont settle in on a painful or uncomfortable physical existence until you have been treated by Dr. Mike and his team! After having an emergency c-section, and then an extensive lower abdominal surgery, I was settled into a life of chronic pain, taking ibuprofen and other pain relievers for years. Dr. Mike did a combination of manual therapy and dry-needling, as well as teaching me stretches and exercises to strengthen my core, and learn how to live w/o a portion of my core on one side. He got me off the pain meds, and back to living a life that I never thought I would again. You have to take your health matters into your OWN hands. Physical Therapy was NEVER suggested to me by my extensive team of physicians, who I see regularly. I had to ask for it on my own, after being in tears at an appointment, because yes, I was being treated for my disease, but not for the way I FELT day in and day out. The docs are great for cutting you open, or reading countless ct scans, and prescribing meds...but how you feel physically day in and day out is where Dr. Mike and his team come in. And, just like you have experiences with good nurses, and not so good ones, same goes for P.T. Consider me your guinea pig, and make your appointment. If its possible to live a more physically active life, Dr. Mike is the person who will help you determine that, and just how far you can go. I went from being unable to squat down to lace up my daughters skates, to getting on skates with her! When I was young, I would hear older people say "you cant put a price on health" and kind of roll my eyes. Im now saying...you cant put a price on health! Investing in myself, with the help of Dr. Mike is the best decision I have ever made. I am positive anyone would feel the same way!

The experience I have had at Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy has been extraordinary. After "back trouble" for 50 years, I had come to accept there would be two or three weeks a year, when Id be confined to bed; and the cost of getting back on my feet included lots of ibuprofen and muscle relaxants and some limitations on life activities, trying to avoid an episode. Two of my adult children had found amazing relief for two very different conditions at this clinic- - -on the recommendation of a hyper-athlete friend. Both experienced almost immediate relief for the conditions that were being treated, brilliant advice, and discharge after just a few weeks of gradually reduced frequency of treatment. Dr. Roberts explained that the dry needling technique drastically reduced the duration of treatment, and that was the experience of my children, and of myself. Its weird but it is not painful and it is amazingly effective. Everyone who works at the clinic projects warmth and sincerity, friendly optimism and professionalism, so I look forward to a treatment visit as I would any appointment with well-liked and respected friends. You dont need a referral. Just make an appointment. You will be treated with the highest level of professional service, and absolute honesty.

I first visited Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy after a few months of chronic knee pain from a Crossfit-related injury (one more reason to dislike thrusters). I was intrigued by their use of evidence-based practice and dry needling techniques. After some improvement, I traveled outside the country for over a month. Once I returned, Dr. Roberts actively sought me out at the Crossfit gym and asked how my knee was doing. He wasnt satisfied with the answer I gave him, so he convinced me to come back to the clinic. With a little encouragement, regular PT sessions and a referral to the Kennedy Chiropractic Center, I started running again! I even registered for my first half marathon in February! I would highly recommend Wisconsin Orthopedics for a professional, innovative and friendly experience. I will miss this team when I leave Milwaukee!

My experience with Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy with Dr. Lauren Croal, and the entire staff, has been exceptional. Dr. Croal was able to give me almost immediate relief from incredibly painful sciatica issues. I was skeptical to try dry needling but now I am addicted! Dr. Croal saw me through my entire treatment, followed up with any concerns, was able to see me when it worked for my busy schedule, and was a pleasure to work with! The facility is very clean and all staff are welcoming, professional, and make you feel at ease. I highly recommend Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy to anyone who could benefit from PT treatments!

I had ankle issues for more than 15 years and I had learned to live with them. In 10 minutes Dr. Roberts noticed I was not walking correctly and diagnosed me. I was not in pain but I was limited in what I could do (think squatting, jumping, running). It took 3 sessions and now I feel human again. Every time I went to Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy for treatment, the whole staff was super friendly, conversational, funny, and more importantly, ready to answer any questions or concerns I might had. The best testimonial is when somebody has had an injury and they too have gone to WOPT, everybody agrees with me: They are the Best!

Dr. Mike and Dr. Lauren not only amazing physical therapists but amazing human beings as well. I developed a nagging shoulder injury that kept getting worse and worse until i was no longer able to raise my left arm past parallel without pain. Despite my ego trying to hold me back from seeing a doctor i finally caved. Not only were the staff at Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy able to accommodate my hectic but more importantly they fixed not only the pain in my shoulder but also the underlying cause! Now im back lifting more weight than I ever have before and the best part is there is no pain when I do it!

When I hurt my back it was important to go to someone that understood Crossfit so I could get back to what I love doing. With Dr. Mike being a part of the Crossfit community I knew that he was the right choice. He exceeded my expectations and had me on a path to not only getting rid of the pain, but creating a program to continue to strengthen my problem areas. Dr. Mike and his staff truly care about getting you pain free and then teaching you how to prevent future issues from arising. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of Physical therapy.

I visited Dr. Croal a handful of times for various ailments and her treatment was nothing short of amazing. I had tendonitis in my achilles and tightness in my hip flexors, both of which were short-lived thanks to Dr. Croal. I know some people, myself included, are uneasy around needles. I still am and I honestly dont think that will change anytime soon. That said, dry needling has been extremely effective in easing my various ailments. For the minor discomfort, its totally worth it. I highly recommend Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy!
