They deserve 10 stars! I came to Marty after falling down a flight of stairs. I could not stand to be touched ANYWHERE. That was October 2008. My head hurt like a migrane 24-7 for 8 weeks except when Marty held it during PT. I couldnt stand to have the light in my face, so he worked with them off using just light from the open door. 6 months later, I was in better shape than when I started. THE WHOLE staff was so kind and accommodating. When my ride would cancel, they understood and didntt penalize me financially. They work with insurance and take care of everything. Good customer service is as important as good therapy treatment, in my opinion. This year, I had a medication reaction that, again, became a systomatic issue. My doctor said the swelling should go down in one week.Three months later, I was still a mess. Marty used a new technique that works on the lymphatic system. 5 weeks later, he resolved it, and gave me a tune up on past issues. The spot where I hurt is not necessarily the spot that needed help. Martys expertise is something to respect. And the home excercises, they WORK, which makes me want to do them, and no matter how many times I forget how to do them, or which ones they are, Marty doesnt humiliate me. He just gives me another paper, and makes sure I do them correctly. He is very thorough and explains everything so I can understand body parts. Just like "Wojo" said, I have learned so much about how the human body is put together. Oh, another thing is that ARC collaborates with my doctors. At one point, they sent reports to three different doctors for me. When I need physical therpay, my doctor knows to send the prescription to ARC! I say all this because people need to know that ARC is not only true to the name, ADVANCED in all the techniques, up to date on best practice for clients, but a full service medical provider. They care about clients as people; they treat clients personnally. They LISTEN to what we tell them. They make a huge difference. When body energy doesnt have to be drained by pain, imagine all the other things it can be spent on. Miracle workers, well I believe only God does that. But ARC must have his favor. Miracles can happen there. YOU CAN GET WELL.

ARC is what physical therapy should be and I only wish more people could have the positive experience with physical therapy that I have. I broke my shoulder July 2013, and ended up with “frozen” shoulder as well. The pain & stiffness was a “10” on the Richter scale of pain and after the 1st visit with Marty O’Shea at ARC’s Woodridge location, he relieved it tremendously with the Strain-Counter Strain technique. This technique actually reduced my pain with each visit to where I was pain free in no time at all. My physical therapy has not only been a positive experience, I am progressing without any pain from the physical therapy. The Strain-Counter Strain technique used at ARC, is done professionally, with expertise and experience by both Marty and his colleague Kevin Cronin. While working on you, they explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, how it is helping & why your doctor’s prescribed the treatment. If you have any questions as to why you are in pain, what is going on with your injury, what they are doing, etc., they will explain it to you in a way you’ll understand. I have experienced incredible results through ARC! Renee, the office manager at the Woodridge location, adds so much to your positive experience. Her friendly & welcoming personality helps you forget the reason you are there & truly eases your pain in dealing with insurance, etc. The overall experience of pain-free PT, friendly atmosphere and notable improvement, I am thrilled I found ARC and hope others can have the positive PT experience I have.

I have used physical therapy about 5 times for various things. This is the third time for my right ankle, all for surgerys related to a bad fracture in 2005. The treatment I am receiving from ARC in Woodridge, IL with Marty OShea has been by far the most effective. He spends my whole appointment with me and I am his only patient in my time frame. He pays such close attention and works with my ankle with such concentration, he recognizes things that I dont! He is extremely careful and respectful of my injury(osteochondral fracture in talus). He goes above and beyond working with me with scheduling my appointments and even let me just pop in to the clinic to have him tape my ankle because I plan to do more walking the next day. Also I am overweight and unlike most other therapists, he just works on making me as pain free as possible and does not tell me things like "you will never get better until you lose this weight". He knows I am aware of this and never mentions it. If you are looking for results and the very best treatment, you will find it with ARC in Woodridge and Marty OShea. I believe the other locations work similarly with the one on one method and it is absolutely the best physical therapy I have experienced.

I went to ARC for physical therapy to rehab hip pain that I had from running. From the time I first walked in and at every session, Renee was a bright and cheery face greeting me and she has such great energy that is contagious! Marty did a great job educating me on body mechanics and the importance of strengthening my core in order for the rest of my body to remain aligned in proper form while running as well as in every day activities. Marty pushed me to work my hardest for the two months of rehab and the end result was having a stronger core, no more pain in my hip, and most importantly getting me back in shape to run again. Marty always showed great concern for how I was feeling throughout each session and each time I returned as well. He is a genuinely caring and compassionate therapist and I would highly recommend Marty OShea as a physical therapist and ARC Physical Therapy as the place to go for your rehab needs.

Marty and Renee are the best! They know us, remembering preferred scheduling, condition, and what we talked about last time we were there. Our daughter is doing physical therapy for her second ankle surgery. She is made a quick recovery from her first surgery under Martys care, and is progressing well on her second. Marty works closely with her podiatrist, who happens to have an office in the same building. This is a huge plus; we dont have to act as the go between for them. They just talk when they need to. Their office is very conveniently located for us, and their office hours offer convenient scheduling options. If you have to do physical therapy, this is a great place to do it.

When I first started coming to physical therapy I was hesitant. I just had my 4th surgery and I was scared I would be in pain from having someone work on my foot. Marty is an amazing therapist. He is very professional and friendly and I feel very comfortable in his care. The atmosphere is great too his receptionist Renee is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel important and cared for. The office is always clean and festive for what ever time of the year it is. If you are looking for a therapist who knows what they are doing, a place that works with you and your schedule. If you want to go somewhere where you, the person, actually matters then go see Marty!
