Hands down the worst experience Ive ever had with any type of medical practice. I was transported there in an emergency situation. I can understand that a hospital ER can be a busy place and sometimes it takes a while to get seen if youre not in mortal danger, but I spent an hour bleeding on a bed with only 5 other people, none with visible injuries, in the room. The treatment, I will say, was just fine. I was taken care of quickly and professionally, when they got to me. The big problem comes when you return for a doctor-ordered follow-up visit. Register in one room, wait to be called. Transfer to another room, wait to be called (note: the woman who called names had such terrible English that her mispronunciation of my name made me honestly unsure if she wasnt calling someone else). Talk to a doctor who isnt going to treat you, go back to waiting. Transfer to a third room, wait to be called. Transfer to an actual treatment room, wait until someone gets to you. In the final room, I was forgotten. Forgotten. Three different nurses came into the room with other patients only to give a surprised look when they saw someone was in there. When the doctor came in, she removed the bandages on top of my stitches and left. She then returned with a supervisor and they talked about me as if I wasnt even there. It took a second doctor, a nice man who seemed to care about what happened to me, to track down the first doctor so that she might treat me. I was there to have stitches removed and I did. The procedure took approximately 2 minutes. I spent 2 and a half hours at the hospital. This is a hospital in not-the-nicest neighborhood in the world. They have fine physicians there that are likely severely taxed every day. That is no reason why a 7:30 appointment for a two-minute procedure should last until 10:00, especially when I arrived 20 minutes early and the place was clearly not busy. Fun fact: I was treated in the exact same room as the night of my injury. They dont even use separate facilities for emergency patients and follow-ups. Plus, three days later, when I changed the bandage on my wound, I discovered that the doctor had left a loose stitch embedded in the cut. By her age, its likely she was still in school, but thats no excuse for that kind of screw-up. If you are fortunate enough to have a choice, go somewhere else.

Hate this place! I really regret that I switched my prenatal care from Mt. Sinai to Lincoln because I felt lincoln was closer to my house. Big regret! Their prenatal care sucks! I started coming here when I was 15 weeks pregnant and it had been nothing but hell. My pregnancy was perfect until I stepped foot in Lincoln. They ran test that I had already told them I had done at Mt sinai and everything came back normal but they insisted and then when I went back for results try to tell me my child had downsyndome and all this BS which wasnt true. At at around 20 weeks I had what I now know as polyhydramnions an excessive amount of amniotic fluid which they also noticed but never treated me for. This causes preterm labor but with the proper care can be controlled. They made me do the stupid amnio at 23 weeks which came back normal after all the stress they caused me during pregnancy saying my child had all these issues including short limbs I ended up going into preterm labour at 24 weeks and had my baby. He passed away 3 days after birth because at 24 weeks babys lungs arent fully developed. I went in yesterday to Lincoln to see if I could see a doctor and the staff didnt even offer any simpathy or empathy towards me .. no im sorry for your loss nothing! One of the nurses who was in the room when I was telling one of the front receptionist what happened had the nerve to ask me 5 minutes later if I was still pregnant???!!!!! I told her NO and she snapped back with an attitude "Oh I didnt hear the conversation thats why Im asking!". Never ever go here for prenatal care!

I went to Lincoln Hospital with my mom on 1/15/14 at 1 AM with my mother who was having bad stomach pains. We had to wait about 4 hours until we can see a doctor. The reason it took so long was because the emergency room waiting area is used by drug addicts/homeless as shelter when they dont have a place to sleep. What they do is get a badge/wrist band as if they need to see a doctor and go to sleep. Their names get called to see doctors several times but they dont proceed into the ER rooms since theyre are only there to sleep. This effects those who are in actual need of care like my mom who was visibly in pain for 4 hours. The officers who work security there know this is common practice as you can see heroin addicts leaning over to their chairs and falling on the ground. I told one of the pigs why dont they clean up the area and keep this place safe and I got one of those typical NYPDicks response, "Dont tell me how to do my job". I walked in that night feeling fine but walked out sick as I had to be encapsulated in a room of about 15 homeless addicts for 4 hours. It made me lose faith in this countries medical/mental health care system and even humanity. When we finally got to the er room it was an odd experience as most of the employees and 20-somethings dressed very unprofessionally who flirt and make jokes with each other. In my opinion, this place should be demolished and rebuild from the ground up.

WORST. HOPSITAL. EVER!!! Im so glad I transferred to Montifore! On Saturday Oct 29 me and my grandmother rushed to the emergency room because she was suffering from multiply problems (hips, lungs and allergic reaction) for the past 2 weeks! She injuried herself during a therapy session in this very hospital and it caused her to FRACTURE her hip! We were in the emergency room for over 12 hours until they decided to keep her inpatient because they found something in her left lung! During the 12 hours they nurses were very disrespectful and rude, all they did was sit around and talk ignore the patients around them. Me and my grandmother decided to leave and thats when they decided to do something. They moved her to the C-area but its FAR WORSE than where we were at. The nurses were nasty and they cut me off every time I try explaining something. My grandmothers blood sugar level was ALMOST 400 AND THEY HAVE THE GODDAMN NERVE TO SAY IT WAS NORMAL!!!! I am convinced they are not certified nurses! They let her starve, she only ate ONE THING and thats a turkey sandwich around 4 in the morning. She is still in the hopsital where the people who are attended her are actually DOING THEIR JOB unlike the dumb emergency room people. Disgusting and horrible, they will let you die in that place. Step your game up Lincoln, you are losing patients and one of these days you will get sued by someone.

This hospital has got to be the worst hospital in the whole country. First, you come in and the triage nurses are locked behind bullet proof glass that you cant see through. Everyone is extremely rude for people in the health profession. I have friends living in the South Bronx and the first one had a broken ankle - they misdiagnosed it as a "bad sprain" - he found out a week later when he had a REAL doctor read his X-Ray. The second is when my other friend cut her finger really bad. She went there since she was bleeding everywhere and couldnt make it stop. She showed up and the nurse behind the bullet proof glass just said why dont you see if you can find a seat if you are lucky. Oh, and the big one, the first friend didnt get help until they saw he had Oxford insurance (one of the best to have in NY) and all of sudden he was put ahead of other people including a small boy who had hurt his ankle too and had been there since 9 AM waiting for an X-Ray. Here is the deal, if you live in the Bronx, go to that hospital on Gun Hill Rd called Montefiore. Word is that they got the best triage emergency room. Good luck if you have an emergency in the Bronx! PS - IF SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN TRANSLATE THIS INTO SPANISH THAT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THERE ARE A LOT OF FOLKS LIVING IN THE SOUTH BRONX THAT WONT BE ABLE TO READ THIS AND THEY NEED TO BE WARNED TOO! THANKS!
