I took my mom to brookdale hospital in 2012.She had a very high fever,throwing up,and global pain (pain all over your body) she was taken by FDNY paramedics.while she was on her way to brookdale hospital. Me and my dad went home to get her insurance cards.As soon as I arrived to my house I get a call from my mom that shes in car service on her way back. Mind you. when she called she was not making sense. I said mom why did u leave she tells me she got discharged. I say to my self no way she left. I met my mom by the car service. I said ma why did you leave the hospital. Again she says I was discharged. Then she shows me the discharge paper. I took a look at it and where it said physicians signature there was not one . It was a signature from a nurse practitioner and where it said patients signature was blank (she never signed the discharge papers)and a prescription for pain relievers.so we thought that she was checked by a physician and she had the flu or something also no blood work was taken either. The next morning she couldnt get out of bed also incoherent global pain. Immediately we called 911 paramedics arrived and she was taken to A different hospital. This hospital that she was taken to administered blood tests MRIs and they found that she had septic poisoning in the blood. So the day before when she arrived at Brookdale if a blood test was taken they wouldve found the poisoned blood. Three days later she wound up Passing away from the septic poisoning which was caused by a simple kidney stone. If Brookdale hospital would have taken normal precautions she might be here today..... I DONT RECOMEND BROOKDALE HOSPITAL. PS. This story is 100% true. I would never make something so horrible up. Thanks for reading.

If you ever have to call and schedule an appointment, forget about it! They never answer the phone. Ive been calling since 12pm this afternoon and its now 4pm. Im actually calling right now as i write this review and there still isnt any answer. It inconveniences me so much. When you eventually get an appointment its an all day thing. Dont think youll schedule and early appointment and get to work by 3 because you wont be getting out of there till at least 5pm. I had to switch my OBGYN altogether because the doctor there was so rough and rushed I remember getting home and i was bleeding. She criticized when you answered questions she asked, Im guessing because i look young she spoke to me as a child. Really just need to switch clinics altogether but i really like my primary doc. Its just the service there sucks!

my mother was hospitalized at this hospital last year in November 2013. with a massive stroke thank god she came out of it. but they sent her home with nimmonia and a blood infection and no antibiotics. by Christmas eve she was dead, I have a lawsuit pending against this hospital. for medical negligence, I wouldnt take a dog to this hospital.

BROOK-HELL!! Do not go to this hospital! The ER staff is useless and do not care about the patients. They are always disorganized, lazy and stupid. Working I have been there many times and every time the RN (triage nurse) John or other is always blaming someone else for her incompetence. Just avoid this place if you have an emergency.

This hospital is the worst the staff there is disgusting their behavior is so demonic i dont understand how the place is still there this place needs to be condemned never reopened and the staff needs to revoked of their title as Any health care

REALLY ????? a Hospital????? it look more like a homeless shelter or prison infirmary.....went with a friend and could not help concerned about getting a staff infection.....PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE IF GIVEN A CHOICE!!!!!
