After months on an antibiotic that wasnt working, Dr. Diane Levitan took one look and listen to my cats congestion and knew exactly what she needed. At that moment she became my vet. I travel over an hour to get to her, and I never mind the trip. Loaded with warmth, humor and humanity, Levitan has an almost supernatural ability to intuit what our voiceless pets are feeling. They cant tell us whats wrong, but she can. And, in a world where doctors are forever rushed, she takes her time. I am aware, whenever I travel to Peace Love Pets, that I might be there for a while - not because I am kept waiting (which I never am), but because the staff is thorough and caring. I have worked with other vets in the practice and they are all caring and compassionate with animals. The reception staff is receptive, which is so rare these days. Together, these people form a net underneath me and my family when we are there. We feel safe and cared for. And where finances are concerned, PLP always works with me so that I dont have to skimp in my animals care. The practice is in the unlikeliest place - sandwiched in a strip mall in Jericho Tpke, but dont be fooled by the commonplace exterior: there are amazing things happening inside this unpretentious storefront.

When we first brought our dog Baron to Peace,Love,Pets a vet hospital in commack,ny.... we had little hope of saving his right leg.He had been through a year of surgeries, radiation burn, the aftermath of 13 brachia radiation treatments.DR.Levitan and her staff were faced with a huge, open wound.DR.Levitan proceeded with a course of hyperbaric treatments and TLC.(oxygen therapy delivered in a chamber, only a handful of these chambers in the entire country)He received 3 treatments a week and each time the wound was debrided of any necrotic tissue. Then a dressing was applied and his leg rebandaged.Baron was on antibiotics for months and cultures were taken periodically. It was a painstaking course of treatment requiring METICULOUS CARE and SKILL........WE could see that DR.Levitan was determined to save our dogs leg.DR.Anderson and the entire staff were as happy as we were when the wound was finally closed. PEACE,LOVE,PETS has a staff that is totally caring and devoted to helping our 4-legged friends and lives up to its name in every way.I FEEL LIKE THE LUCKIEST GUY TO KNOW ABOUT THESE PEOPLE....ITS TIME FOR ME TO SHARE THIS LUCK WITH ALL OF YOU BECAUSE I CANT KEEP MY SECRET ANY LONGER.THANK YOU ...YOURE THE BEST. I must say my pets are my children... and i have been to multiple vets. When my friend recommened me to Dr. Diane I was very concerned if it was going to be the just another vet" experience. But i was wrong. I was absolutely blown away by the caring, compationate service I recieved from Diane. Unlike other vets, she makes you feel welcomed. I had to bring my 8 year old heart murmur Shi Tzu to her because he ate what I thought was only a sock. He didnt eat and was vomiting for a day and a half, so I paniced. When I brought him in, she x-rayed and scoped him only to find he had a sock, a piece of a chew toy and i dont know what else in the mess, in his intestine. She rushed him into surgery, got it out and even took him home to to observe him over night. I had him back home by the next evening, eating and being his crazy self. Hes been great since! If it wasnt for Diane, her experience, her highly equipped facility and her amazing staff i dont think that Stanley would have made it another day. I finally found a vet that i can trust is in it for the pets and not for her pocket! Thank you Dr. Levitan and Staff.

Why is this woman still in business? Dr. Diane Levitan is not a good doctor. Shes so full of herself she thinks shes the best & goes on & on about how good she is & how longs shes been doing this. 20 years old lady & you cant even do surgery right? i was there once picking up food for my cat & all you hear is dr. Levitan yellig & cursing cause one of her surgeries were difficult. you shouldnt be doing surgery if you dont know what your doing & cant handle the stress. stop trying to learn on peoples pets. every time your staff would come from the back room they would look like they were getting beaten back there, you dont know how to treat your staff. what kinda doctor talks to one of there staff members about how bad another one is in front of a client? & not only are they all so nice & friendly (except Michelle the receptionist) & they even offer you coffee while the doctor talks to other clients about how great she is. many of the other vets just laugh when i say your name. You should really look for a new job old lady.

My dog is in recovery, although i must say this is the rudest staffed place ive gone to yet. Particularly, the lady called Michelle has the audacity to silence a customer saying i have no right to consult with Diane in "wasting her time". Seriously, who says that to any customer? Really? Its synonomous with how one rates any business if your staff is rude then more than likely you will not want to go back again. Apparently they need to train their staff at the front desk to be polite and know that "customer service plays a huge part" in repeat visits. I am definitely going to think twice about taking my dog there going forward. you think spending thousands they will treat you in return with care, patience and respect. Latter point was indeed lacking and disappointing. And in the larger schema of things, not sure id want to recommend my friends that I know needs to spay her dog there.

I am so happy I found my way to this practice. We love all the doctors and the staff. Dr Levitan diagnosed my senior Collie girl with bladder cancer and provided months of caring support for hospice care and when the time came, she was there for us and we felt very supported and surrounded by compassion and kindness as we helped Chloe over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Eylers has been providing routine well care for my Collie boys on Sundays which is so convenient, we greatly appreciate that this practice has full hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Dr. Glaser diagnosed my boy with pancreatitis right before the holidays and took great care of him (and me when I fell apart!) and all the follow up calls from both Dr. Glaser and the staff meant a lot to us. I have had only positive experiences and only wonderful things to say about the doctors and the support staff.

Hah i cant believe anybody would write such false reviews Dr. Diane Levitan is one of the most sympathetic person i know, all the staff are really incredible and nice. Michele the receptionist is excellent and awesome as well as Joanne another receptionist, so dont believe any of that bullcrap those 1 star people are feeding you. There are currently 2 doctors Dr. Kristen Anderson and Dr. Diane Levitan whom i hold my highest respect to. Sure every once in an eon one of them gets irritated but if you were to put yourself in their shoes you probably would be stressed out too or in a psych ward right now . All in all the entire staff is compassionate, understanding, as well as friendly and i guarantee you that you will not find a better veterinarian clinic with such experience and state of the art advanced equipment.
