I took my dog there to be fixed. With in 4 days he started coughing. I called there to let them know that I thought he may have picked up Kennel Cough. As soon as I said that I was treated like I had the plague. I was rudely told I would get a phone call back in 15 minutes that the reception area was full. I didnt really understand why I had to be called back. I just wanted an appointment to have him looked at, but what ever. I patiently waited for a phone call back. 2 Hours go by and no phone call. So I called again and was again treated very rudely. This time I was told that I had to speak to the office manager. I asked why and was told because you have to speak to the office manager. I asked when I could speak to her and they said I dont know she isnt in this office today and I would have to wait for her to call me from the other office. Another hour goes by and I finally get a call from the office manager who was like I understand that you think your dog got kennel cough from our facility. Through out our conversation I picked up on the fact that the attitudes I was getting was because they thought I wanted free treatment for my dog. I never once mentioned money or anything. I straight out told the woman that all I wanted was an appointment to have him looked at and that I was fully prepared to pay for hsi treatment. As soon as she realized I didnt want free care her attitude decreased slightly. At this point I was told that she would have to see when they could fit him in because they book 2-3 weeks ahead of time and that she would call me back in a few minutes. Another 3 hours goes by before they called me back. They told me to bring him in 2 days. At this point I had already contacted another Vet who was recommended by a friend. I called them and explained the situation and they were like bring him in he should absolutely not wait to be seen. He is currently on medication for Kennel cough and they said with the time frame that he was at Affordable Vet care and his symptoms started he would have picked it up there. Not to mention he is not near other dogs and does not go to dog parks. So if you are planning on using this place DONT. They really do not care about the animals they see at all. If there is a problem after your pet sees them they wont give a damn. If google offered a rating below poor - fair they would have gotten it.

Brought in 2 feral cats and was on tenterhooks the whole time. Staff is rude and we werent permitted to meet doctor or speak with her afterward; they lose records, dont follow requests, put post op cat back in cage with same filth!! Now we just suck it up and go to a more professional private vet and pay to receive proper care for the ferals. This place is attached to Brookhaven animal shelter but appears to be a private entity. They used to perform more low cost spay and neuter but have now limited those appointments such that it is essentially impossible to trap and have a cat seen there in any timely fashion. PS the review which mentions how nice and friendly staff and vet were refers to "other reviews" when there is only a single prior review on Google leading me to believe it is an inside plant.

My father and I have been going to this vet since the time they worked with the local shelter and I have always had a good experience. The Dr has always been very understanding and respected our wishes. He was also super patient with us and always gave us options. Ive had very bad experiences with other vets where they were very rude to my father and I, would lose their patience with us, or would make us feel bad for not being able to afford certain services. But not this office. Very professional, affordable and thorough and attentive. Thank you for giving us such great service throughout the years!

I would like to highly recommend Dr. Hamilton from Affordable Veterinary Care. My cat was diagnosed with Pyometra, Dr. Hamilton performed surgery that saved her life. Affordable Veterinary Cares staff was also wonderful in helping our cat. Our cat is a member of our family and as special as the day is long to us. Dr. Edward Hamilton is the world’s greatest veterinarian, we will always be will be forever grateful for the excellent skill he provided.

I went in with my cat because she had a rash ..I was skeptical at first after reading some of the reviews on the website ..Dr Dang and his staff were nothing but helpful and nice ..very friendly and made me feel comfortable when I was very nervous about my cats health ..highly recommended..and there price was cut in half when I looked around at other vets ..I hope they stay in that location for many years to come..Kudos

I got a puppy and brought it to this vet. They were very nice and helpful, she was a pitbull and need all types of shots to be up to date. It was cheaper then anywhere else, and the people seemed professional to me. Ive since brought two cats here to get fixed, and another dog to get fixed. Cheapest around, and no problems. Ive gone to other vets before and they charge more for the same services.

This place and Dr Dang blows the affordable by the animal shelter away!!!I am NOT and insider or a plant LOL.. I am a caring animal rescue person that thinks this place should set the standard for caring.. The staff.. Dr Dang, Jessica, Ruth and Annissa are completely outstanding!!! They care about you and about your fur kids!!! They are great with pricing as well..

I needed affordable care for my cat and already had an appointment when I read these other reviews. I brought my cat to see for myself and found it to be nice and the employees to be friendly. The vet was very caring and she took time to explain everything to me. My cat had everything done at a low cost. I will be bringing my dog back here

When I called to make the appointment no one said I needed a carry case.the women at the desk was so rude.I just cant believe the way I was treated.I know its affordable vet care,but no one should be treated this way.I guess it pays to pay I little more.There also was a cat louse n it made my cat nervous.

I bring my dogs here and I love Dr dang he cares so much for the animals. When I was loosing my lab he brought comfort to my big boy as well as my family. I still bring my other 2 fur babies there. His staff is also compassionate and professional. As well as great prices I recommend him to everyone.
