I cant even rate this business. They are the most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced. Kathy the receptionist is by far the worst "professional". I dont even know how she has a job. I got a cleaning back in December 2016 as a new patient. They were very pushy told me to buy this special toothpaste that was $20.00 and said I needed this foam that was $20.00. Told me I needed a mouth guard for $500.00 the most ridiculous things. They are money hungry. They fixed a cavity on my back molar and a chipped bonded tooth in the front and it lasted not even a year! Its August and I called them to tell them my back molar chipped and my front tooth chipped. They set up an appointment for me for Monday 8/28/17. I called the friday before to see what the appointment entailed and she had me in for a cleaning, which I did NOT ask for I need my chipped teeth fixed so she moved my appointment to a later time. I got veneers done in May by another dentist because for one Cayuga Dental is too pushy and too expensive. They were already treating me like garbage for going to another dentist for that. But I was only coming to Cayuga Dental to get my teeth repaired because They ORIGINALLY did the work! Makes sense right? They fixed them last they should fix them again. I took off time from my job to come to the appointment monday 8/28/17. I even called to confirm my appointment time monday morning and spoke with Kathy and she told me the time of 3:40. Once I got there she told me I had to go back to where I got my veneers done to get a note saying they didnt chip my teeth. I was obviously upset because one she wasted my time off. She could have called and told me this rather than me driving all the way there for them to push me away. Two I had called and confirmed and even gave her the opportunity to tell me and she didnt (UNPROFESSIONAL). She was laughing at me in the office when I got upset with the office manager. I told him I felt very disrespected and she was sitting laughing on the phone to me. How disrespectful. I have worked in customer service for years and that woman should not have a job. Then when I told the office manager I can get the other dentist on the phone and have him send over my x-rays he immediately shut it down and said to sign release papers and refused to see me. What if I had an infection and they are refusing to give me care? This business should be shut down. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I am spreading the word all over social media and the BBB and every place I can get my hands on.

Unbelievable professional behavior, policies and ethics. While standing in the room with my 8-yr old preparing to get a simple filling I requested that the dentist use composite instead of the old amalgam. It is fairly well established that the composites function just as well as the amalgam, are negligibly different in material costs, and of course are the color of natural tooth. The hygienist stepped out of the room and came back shaking her head "no". The dentist then instructed me that my insurance would not cover the composite filling, only the amalgam. I then said I would pay out of pocket but the dentist continued to decline by saying she wasnt allowed to do it if it wasnt covered by the insurance. As I left the office manager at the front desk reiterated that they could not do the composite because of the insurance coverage. A quick phone call to the customer service of my dental plan (EBS-RMSCO) confirmed what I suspected; the composite filling was covered, no question whatsoever. So I phoned the office manager and related the information to him concerning my insurance coverage. He then changed his story and said that it didnt matter if the insurance covered it, they would not provide the service. When I said that it seemed unprofessional he said that I could simply go to another dentist. Thanks for wasting my time and my insurance companies dime! Wish I could do a "ZERO" star - it really is managed by a sleazy clown!

After a somewhat poor experience at CFD, I decided to change dentists. I needed to transfer my x-rays, so I called a little over a week before my new appointment, and was told I needed to physically go into CFD to sign a release before they would process my request. I went in, signed a release, paid them their $10 copying fee, and left. They said that it would probably take them 10 days, but when I requested that they do it within 7 days, so I could bring them to my other dentist, they said that it wouldnt be a problem. 7 days later, the day of my appointment at the other dentist, I called CFD to see if the records were ready for pickup. They said that they had no record of my request (despite the fact that my credit card bill showed the $10 fee), and they would check-up on the matter and call me back. They didnt. I called them 2 more times, and each time, I was told that they were about to check into the matter. I gave up, and went to my dentist without the records. At the other dentist, the receptionist called CFD, and CFD finally copied the records. At the other dentist, I was told that one of my fillings needed to be redone- the one that CFD had filled just the year before. I guess it makes sense in hindsight- it only took her 10 minutes to put the filling in...

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! After arriving to my appointment to get fillings done I explained to them that I only wanted half of my fillings done at the time due to cost and because I had gotten a second opinion with my doctor back home in Canada. I was then informed that Dr. Gupta didnt feel comfortable seeing me because she felt that i was questioning her expertise! She couldnt even tell this to me to my face but had to have her minions tell me. I couldnt believe what I was hearing! With only 2 days left of having dental insurance it was too late for me to see another dentist. I explained this to them and they didnt care. So apparently she is the kind of doctor that will turn away a readily paying customer/patient due to a bruised ego. I have read all bad reviews and am so surprised that she is still in business. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Apparently, Im not the first.

I may have just had a bad Experience, but aparantly so did alot of other people on this site. It is commonly said that happy patients dont leave comments, only ticked off ones, well folks there are atleast 9 unhappy ones on this page alone. They told me I needed an unnecessary root canal. After I went to this office and got a bad feeling, I consulted TWO other well known dentists locally,"tompkins dental" and "fall creek family dental". Both of which told me that under NO circumstances did I need a root canal, and there was nothing in my x-ray that could even have been confused for evidence that I did. I had no tooth pain, no infection etc. Cayuga Family Dental ALSO made it impossible to acquire my x-rays even though I PAID THEM for the X-RAYS. They also billed my Insurance for services that they never rendered. DO NOT GO HERE, GO TO FALL CREEK! theyre faster, more professional and A HELL OF ALOT KINDER and more honest!
