Just an idea going to the dentist is inevitably attached to the nervousness,fear and strong resistance. Finally I had courage to bring yourself to the dentist. Having extremely complex dental history and build in deeply negative disposition,I was unreservedly skeptical. With this baggage I finally decided to meet with Dr.Silver and his staff, having very convincing and comprehensive recommendations from two other dentists. I like to underline as completely as I can how much I was indeed unprepared to meet the most professional, thoughtful and gentle, not on the surface,but genuinely detailed care. I felt more as a person, rather then as a patient-victim. There were also reasons to be surprised and be caught in disbelieve and relieve: I was told that there will not be a drilling...even though there was a need for a filling. Dr.Silver took time and explained why drill is a kill (my expression) and even though Dr.Silver does use it, but only when it is absolutely called for it. For the most part Dr. Silvers gift depends on his own hand skill, knowledge and intuition. After I was treated I was given a detailed and realistic full menu for my dental home care, something I was very confused about before I came to this office. There was a principal new information regarding an ozone therapy. It belongs to the category of an alternative medicine. Imagine your headphones on, listening to fabulous and soothing music while you are in the calmest meditative state... oh and by the way you are at the dentist! After nearly a decade of phobia (after an intensely painful experience with a prior dentist) , I made an appointment to see Dr. Silver for necessary work - and by the time my appointment was over I will never fear going to the dentist again! Dr. Silvers technical dental skills are impeccable, and because he so assiduously keeps up with the latest techniques, his practice is state of the art when it comes to effective dentistry AND patient comfort. I was so relaxed from the all-natural relaxation technology NuCalm that when my appointment was over that I asked "Do I really have to go back to reality now?" If/when you need work done, this is your go-to dentist! 5 Stars Plus!

Dr. Silver and his team are the best, bar none. Besides using the latest in proven dental care (which also makes it the most comfortable dentist experience you might ever have), everyone in the office is warm, hospitable, and earnest in taking care of you. Roz is an amazing and thoughtful dental hygienist, and she made my Invisalign process thoroughly enjoyable (and, dare I say, exciting). Also, if youre a musician who uses your mouth, Dr. Silver is THE dentist to go to since hes a musician. He gets it, so all your professional and technical dental concerns are going to be met not only with competence but experience as well. I discovered Dr. Silver online several years ago because of effusive reviews, so Im doing my part to continue that tradition. Once you go, youll keep coming back--and start telling your friends.

After a series of painful and unsuccessful treatments with prior dentists, Dr. Silver was the first to stabilize my complex dental condition. I deeply appreciated his diligence in evaluating my complete picture without rushing into ambitious dental procedures—he used them only as a last resort, and with success. He worked slowly and meticulously at each stage of my treatment which lasted approx. one year. I was also astonished at having entirely pain-free experiences—unimaginable for me previously. I also benefited greatly from the wisdom and care of Dr. Silvers chief hygienist, Roslyn. She played a vital role in reorienting my home-care; very grateful for her guidance. After many years of painful and traumatic dental experiences, finding Dr. Silver and his associates has dramatically changed how I feel about going to the dentist. Dr. Silver and his brilliant associates and staff has restored my faith in the notion that going to the dentist can be a good thing. They set up a wonderful treatment plan that not only dealt with root canal and crown issues, but have re-done fillings that were old and no longer viable. They have quite literally changed my teeth and mouth and for that I am truly grateful. I recently went to Dr. Silver as a new patient for my routine teeth cleaning/check-up. I am a person who will put off seeing a dentist for years just because I hate going. I have to say, I had the most wonderful experience going to Dr. Silver. His entire staff is so friendly and welcoming, they truly care about your well-being and the health of your teeth. Theyre incredibly professional and knowledgeable, the office is very clean, and the atmosphere is very pleasant despite the fact that you are in a dentists office! I was referred to Dr. Silver by my dentist in Dallas when I moved to New York 5 years ago. Dr. Silver and his staff do quality work and are dedicated to making sure you feel as comfortable as possible. If I ever need something other than a cleaning, Dr. Silver is great about explaining my options and keeping me informed. Ive never left feeling like Ive agreed to an unnecessary procedure or that hes trying to sell me a product I dont need. The office is clean and inviting, his receptionists are friendly and organized, and he even has weekend hours. Ive recommended his office to friends and loved ones and will continue to do so.

I highly recommend Dr. Peter Silver as a dentist in New York City. His staff is extremely pleasant, efficient and professional. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable with your visit. Dr. Silver is thorough in his work and is a true believer in a pain free experience. I have to say that I become very anxious and paranoid when visiting the dentist but Dr. Silver transformed my visit into an enjoyable experience. The word "enjoyable" usually doesnt correspond with any sort of dental work but I have to say its true, he is fantastic! For as long as I am living in the NYC area, Dr. Silver will be my dentist.

Greenwich Village Dentist (NYC) is extraordinary! Peter Silver, DDS is the most gentle patient dentist. I have massive dental anxiety and he offers sedation dentistry -pain free, no anxiety (he gives you a pill to take the night before so you get a good nights sleep) and when you come to the his dental practice in a great part of Greenwich Village you have various dental anxiety options. I opted for Laughing Gas which really works! The office deals with your dental insurance so you dont have to worry about a thing. Clean modern office. Nicest dentist ever. Thank you!

Painless dentistry and lots of reassurance and counseling for my dental phobias make him the only dentist I would go to. He is very skilled at his craft and he takes the fear out of dentistry. He is also very patient and understanding and conveys that he really cares about all his patients and will address any fears or issues you might have. He turns a dental procedure into a spa like setting where you listen to jazz, wearing sunglasses, without any pain or discomfort, while receiving the best care with state-of the-art medical technology.
