I usually hate going to the dentist. Its not the pain (minimal) or the expense (necessary). Its the condescending attitude that so many dentists give off. TDC is not like that. They treated me like an adult, were prompt and helpful, and gave good tips that Ive stuck with. Indeed, I even learned what the problems were rather than a simple "you should take better care of your teeth." Do this, do that, and check back in six months: instructions that even a neanderthal like myself can follow. Beyond that, the location is perfect (right off the subway and centrally located) and clean. I really appreciated being able to see my X-Rays, problem areas, and such on the screen. The fact that I could watch TV while getting my cleaning didnt hurt, either. I will be going back again, of that I am sure.

I have been a patient at Tribeca Dental Care for a little over two years now. My experience was actually very, very good. The staff over there is very nice and accepting and when I walked in they made me feel really comfortable. Afterward, I met Dr. Dorfman. She took very good care of me, was very knowledgeable in what she was doing and was very sweet. I’ve had two root canals and crowns and it was just a great experience. I would recommend her – she knows how to make her patients very comfortable and very secure. I would recommend the service to everyone. I would love for people to know that there are good dentists out there. Some guys are actually good at what they do and they love what they do and show that they love what they do. Thank you!

I havent had such great service in a dental office in years! They took no less than about 18 shots of my teeth for xrays at all different angles. Afterward, the hygienist spoke to me at length about problematic areas and small issues that could eventually develop into larger problems. They even recommended a course of treatment to try before the dreaded drill. By the time the dentist came in to look at me, I felt as though I already had a very thorough exam! The entire staff and friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions about treatment, as well as prices on elective treatments, such as Invisalign. I got a little dental goodie bag when it was all said and done. I couldnt have been happier!

"Dr. Alla Dorfman is really nice and explains whats going on with your health in a way you can understand. The hygienist was exceptional - she taught me the proper way to care for my teeth and didnt hurt me when doing my cleaning. Plus anyone that wears denim scrubs is okay in my book. The lady at the front desk is also very helpful, calling to remind me of appointments and giving me good directions going to their clinic."

I would implore everyone who is getting any service to make sure they are clear about the billing. The manager is very dishonest about the cost of services as well as overly aggressive in her effort to convince patients to get other services. I have to admit my services were good so I do not understand why the "manager" feels the need to be so shady and act so unprofessional, this makes no sense.

Dr. Dorfman has an angel touch. My son loves eating sweets and doesnt want to brush his teeth. When his tooth ached, I brought him to Dr. Dorfman, he had undergone extraction, since it was only milk teeth , and he came out of Dr. Dorfmans office smiling, instead of whining and crying. I dont know what Dr. Dorfman told him, but since then, he brushes his teeth after every meal.

Dr. Dorfman is great -- shes friendly, professional and fast/efficient, though I never feel rushed. Plus theyve recently entirely redone the interior of the office, and the equipment feels state-of-the-art -- its very cool watching the x-rays appear on screen right as theyre taken. I always recommend Tribeca Dental Care to friends who are looking for a dentist.

When I first tried Tribeca, I was impressed with the office. When I was greeted by the staff, I was more impressed. And when I met Dr. Dorfman, I was already thinking to keep her as our familys dentist. Her procedures, techniques and equipment are really up to date and modern.
