In June of 2013, I left Rockland Psychiatric Center against medical advise and signing myself out was the best thing that I ever did. The Therapy Aides who worked at RPC. were nasty people who treated the patients as if the patients were a subhuman species. Being at RPC. made me worse and not better. RPC. was so bad that I will call RPC. an "anti-hospital" because it makes people angry and worse. The hell hole called RPC. should be investigated and the people who run it be fired and put in prison. RPC is a bad place. For the record, the unit that i was on when I signed myself out was Bldg. 60, unit 506.

I called to get help for my bipolar disorder, which I just moved to Rockland County NY and it is near impossible to find a psychiatrist, and the person who answered said if Im having an episode I should go to an emergency room. They wont do anything for me at an ER if Im having a bipolar episode, other than make me wait for hours and send me home with a note to follow up with a psychiatrist. She then said to call back in the morning. Yeah, for a person with bipolar depression who is having an episode and is reaching out for help tomorrow morning might be too late. Just saying.
