After a number of less than satisfactory experiences at a large internal medicine practice owned by one of the local hospital systems, I became a patient of Doctor Torpey. Since then, I have been continuously impressed by this practice. They manage to combine the latest technology with an old fashioned small practice environment. I can go online and view my records and test results through their "patient portal", lab requests and prescriptions are all transmitted electronically and all of the charting is done on laptops. Despite this modern approach, they manage to maintain an old fashioned feel to their practice. When you walk in, you feel as though youre walking into their home. Despite having made only a handful of visits, I dont have to introduce myself when I arrive. The staff has already taken the time to learn my name. Before I found this practice, I was concerned that practices like this didnt exist anymore. Doctor Torpey is great. I worked in healthcare for a number of years and have a relatively complex situation. Im not the easiest patient to deal with, but Dr. Torpey has been fantastic. Hes funny, easy to get along with and speaks with you rather than to you. Ive been impressed with the care Ive received, and with the fact that he has taken additional time to research my case. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new family physician. If youre not looking, and this review doesnt also describe your current physician, you should be.

I have to say that Dr. Torpey is by far the BEST Doctor I have ever had or even had contact with. Not only is the Doctor great but his staff is AWESOME! I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it is to not feel like a number when going to an appointment. Dr. Torpey and his staff (Nurse Kelly and receptionist Karen) are kind, caring and sincerely want to provide you with a great experience. It is amazing to have a Doctor and a staff who knows you and wants to listen to what is going on and not just prescribe you with drugs. I almost did not want to write this review because I wanted to keep them all to myself but realized that this team deserves all the praise in the world. Also I realized that other people deserve the same great care that I have received.

Not a fan of the "family" environment. The building clearly used to be someones house, so your exams feel like theyre being done from someones bedroom. Doctor Torpey is a friendly guy, but Im not completely trusting with his diagnoses.

A caring practice (Dr. Torpey and his staff) who will work with you to meet your health care needs. Couldnt ask for better.
