I found Diamond Vision because they accept my vision insurance, VSP. From my very first visit, I have been extremely happy with the quality of the care Ive received from them. Dr. Galan is friendly, kind, and a very good doctor. The office staff is very efficient and pleasant. The office is clean and comfortable. There are many many frames to choose from. Mindys help is invaluable in creating the look you are looking for. The main purpose of my first visit was to obtain progressive lenses - I need both distance and reading correction for my eyes. Dr. Galan created several different lens combinations, hoping to find one that would work for me. As it turns out, I am one of the few people I know for whom progressive lenses do not work; I was unable to get used to them. When it became clear that progressives were not going to work, Dr. Galan made bifocals for me and they are perfect. Throughout this process, I always felt that Dr. Galan would work with me until a solution was found. He was gracious and professional. A recent visit for my yearly exam was a very positive experience as well. I recommend Diamond Vision very highly and without reservation.

I go to Diamond Vision once a year to get my contact lenses and my eye exam and would encourage anyone to go to Diamond Vision Dr. Galan is an excellent Dr. and very caring and thorough. He LISTENS which is one of the most valued skills for me. Denise is very important to me - she is very competent and welcoming and makes getting my lenses and rebate very simple. If I need a replacement lense it is never a problem. She genuinely makes me feel very special every time I go to the office I used to be Dr. Feldmans patient and was with him for at least 40 years I have been helped by Denise for most of this time. I have always felt extremely cared for for my eye needs but also as a valued person by both Dr. Feldman and Denise My transition to working with Dr. Galan has been wonderful. The continuity of the transition because of Denise was very important I am very happy to write this review and would encourage anyone to use Diamond Vision

There are probably a thousand optometrists in Manhattan but I drive an hour out to Rockville Centre to see Dr. Galan because of his extraordinary expertise in fitting contact lenses. He’s also a very kind, thoughtful, and patient doctor; and the people who work with him are equally wonderful. (Mindy always finds the perfect glasses for my face and for my friends’ faces, and Denise is so warm and helpful.) I never wanted contact lenses because I was so scared about putting something in my eyes, but when my close-up and distance visions started getting bad, I didn’t want to care three pairs of glasses, and a good friend recommended Dr. Galan. He tried out dozens of lenses until he found the right one for each eye and taught me how to put them in and take them out. He also discovered my cataracts and is monitoring them and changing my prescription to help me avoid surgery. He’s the best!

Dr. Shane Gallan/ Diamond Vision was the ONLY Optometrist who made it possible for me to get my advanced Color Vision Test required for my job with the Federal Government, I called out atleast 45 doctors in and around NYC & Long Island and no one seemed to help or know about the tests I was looking for i.e: Farnsworth and Lanthony D-15 which cost out of pocket for me but I was losing hope about being able to take one where I live, I was being consulted to go all the way to Maryland which seemed insane considering I lived in a major city like New York and no one conducted these tests! I would recommend his services to anyone who needs a advanced eye testing or vision clearance for Private or Government/ Military jobs!!!! Thanks a lot to his amazing staff members Diane and Mindy who constantly followed up with my case and appointment, I am truly grateful to them all!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Galan for years. After advising him that I wanted to try contact lenses again, he set out to find the right lens for my condition, keratoconus. Dr. Galan researched the options available to me and found a comfortable, soft lens that was specifically designed for keratoconus. The lenses are amazing, comfort and vision is unbelievable!! I am grateful to Dr. Galan for taking the time and effort to get the perfect fit. Whether you wear contacts, glasses or are considering either, Diamond Vision is where you should go! Read all the posts, theres one constant, Dr. Galan is an incredibly knowledgeable eye doctor who is all about your comfort and gives his patients the time they need. The staff is amazing as well. Theyre professional, talented and very nice! This is the Best practice on L.I.

Simply the best! I have been going to Dr. Galan for several years and when my son started having vision problems at 5 years old, I started bringing him there also. At 11 His eyes and prescription started to get worse. Dr. Galan suggested a new eye care therapy that might help him. It is called Ortho Keratology. My son wears a special pair of contact lenses overnight, while he sleeps and his vision is perfect when he wakes and removes the contacts. It took a bit to get used to but, his prescription has slowed down and he has more confidence and is a lot happier without wearing the glasses every day, only once a week to rest his eyes. Amazing! Thanks to Dr. Galan and his awesome staff of Mindy, Denise, Gwen and Donna. They work with you on everything. Feels like family. Great, Great eye and people care.

I decided to make Diamond Vision my first stop since they had the most Google reviews compared to their competition in a 2-mile radius. As soon as I came in; I was greeted by their staff and a Sales Consultant was assigned to me right away. The Sales person was very nice and patient. She definitely helped me a lot by narrowing down the best pair of glasses for me; She made this process so easy. All the other staff in the office were very quiet and professional. Their merchandise is great, and they have a big selection. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME COMING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT, I DEF. RECOMMEND TRYING THEM FIRST. Just make sure to know how much your insurance will cover before you start looking at frames since you dont want to pay too much out of pocket.

I normally do not write reviews on google, but I am making an exception. I was a former patient of Dr. Feldman for many years and was very concerned that when he retired I would not find another Doctor with the same level of service and expertise. I was wrong. I have been seeing Dr. Galan for a year and a half and I could not be happier. He is extremely knowledgeable about contact lenses. He takes the time to insure that he is completely satisfied with your vision and comfort . You are never rushed and any questions that I have are answered in full detail . His staff,especially Denise is an asset to the practice. Anyone who is looking for a true expert in contact lens, should seek out Dr. Galan.
