This hospital is garbage i came for a joint dislocation i was obviously in alot of pain i almost fainted and i was sweating heavily it was torture and suffering at its best. I was treated worst then a monkey in this hospital.even the female nurses were talking down to me and oh my god they were all inexperienced. The female nurse was so nasty to me and she was getting extremely mad at me for no reason. I was in the bathroom peeing and one male nurse kept knocking on my door harassing me for fun i cant beleive this trash...If you are not white you are looked down to like a pile of feces and u will be treated like butt wipe. When it was finally time for me to be treated my doctor was laffing and chatting so he had to delay he later comes by in twenty minutes with a huge smirk on his face and he didnt even apologize. He tried popping it back to place and he does it so hard that it was so painful i could tell he Had no experienced and that he didnt care about my well being and hes probably the reason why i now have muscle tears. Skip this hospital unless you are looking for hell and tocome out in even worst shape

Got admitted here quickly as my mother had broken her ankle. The hospital moved along quickly with tests, blood and x-rays. Next she had a temporary room then finally taken to the 1st floor. She has been her current room for 5 days so far waiting to pickup a rehab facility. The doctors where we were in Finland said she needed follow-up surgery to correct the break she has in her ankle, but the doctors here advised not to as the surgery since its healing very nicely and the line of the bone is nearly perfect but also it has to many complications and her age is a factor when using anesthesia. So based on this we are post-poning further operations for now. We have found the doctors, staff & nurses have been very helpful, kind and patient especially when they had to change my mothers clothes & catheter she got very upset and was cursing them out in Finnish, but they understood that she has dementia and dealt with her kindly and effectively. The place is nice, clean & modern. This is a good place to stay. I feel very comfortable if God forbid we needed to be in a hospital again this place would be the choice.

this is the worse hospital specially if you have a muslim last name they treat you like a third class citizen, there is a Register Nurse by name Gina, in which she was there when I arrived at 7:10 pm today June 2, 2014 then she sent me to the waiting room then I am an asthmatic person so I need my pump but I forgot in my car so this REGISTER NURSE with not professional ethic was checking my blood pressure she gave me a push on my back she was piss off at me so she said I do not have a room for you so you are going to be treated in the hallway just like that, like a third class citizen, someone has to stop this Nurse she is so rude an callous. Im changing my last name asap. I never saw the doctor and Im still sick!

Just left the hospital after 6 days and a total ankle replacement. Dr. Scott Koenig was the best and so was the anotheisoligist , Dr.Pollack. The nurses and nurses assistants were top knotch. The hospital was super clean and the food was excellent. I was super impressed. In the past I had a knee replacement at Hospital for Special Surgery. The care I received at Syosset met and even surpassed my expectations. This is a hidden gem of a hospital on Long Island.......a hospital with a beatng heart! Marilyn Ghiotti Narson 1/25/2017

my wife had a rotator cuff tear surgery as “outpatient”. our experience with Syosset Hospital couldnt be any better. From the security officer through the receptionist to the nurses and the doctors all were pleasant, helpful and professionals. We are very thankful as they all did their best to make the visit as pleasant as possible. We got all the personal attention you would expect from a small hospital – felt like a “little town” hospital, in all the good ways. Syosset hospital would be our 1st choice in the future.

Attempted to obtain Images(echo) on a CD for Business Purposes for a Patient. Was Bounced to 4 different departments with no one taking any ownership or proper direction. The Records department sends me to Imaging the Imaging sends me to Cardio the Cardio says its Medical Records and the Medical Records department gives me a fake number for their supervisor. Most Unprofessional and incompetent experience Ive ever had and were trying to do a secondary diagnosis for a patient. FAIL

My better half needed a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) and although we had always been to North Shore Manhasset, this was our first time at Syosset (since the surgeon was connected to this hospital). At first we were apprehensive, however, the nurses, doctors and surgical team were the most professional, informative and nicest people in the profession we have ever encountered. Thank you for making the short stay, a pleasant one.

My father was treated terrible here. The social workers rush you out before you are better. Do not sign anything unless you read it over, they try to have a sick person sign paperwork without the family there....stay involved and ask questions for your loved one.

Very good hospital. I work at Huntington Hospital and I would go to Syosset again without a doubt. Was very quick, and efficient. My nurse was very very nice and the doctor was very professional.

Terrible service, poorly managed, rude staff and very long wait times. If you have an emergency, you may die in the waiting room. Dont go here especially if your life depends on it!!!
