I had previously written a very positive review for Hudson River Eye Care in their Tarrytown location and a not such a favorable review for the White Plains location. After posting my comments, I learned that HREC purchased the White Plains location, I had previous visited. I apologize for the error and I strongly recommend either location, they truly believe and they follow through with treating each patient/customer as an individual as well as making sure that they are comfortable and knowledgeable before they leave the store.

Made an appointment with them on Monday. They confirmed my insistence is accepted. Took a vacation day on the tuesday to get in. They verified my appointment time Tuesday morning. Then they called me 45 minutes before my appointment that they dont take my insurance. The woman blamed the other receptionist that her checking and double checking my insurance made a mistake. Lost vacation time, and offered no help to remedy this.

I got my glasses here and am very happy. The store is very nice inside and convenient. The optician who works here is very helpful and takes lots of time with you. He even helped to fix and adjust my sons glasses once, even though I told him we had purchased those glasses at the other store in Tarrytown. The fact that he did this made me want to come back and I ended up buying my own pair here.
