Worst experience I have ever seen and I work in a hospital!!! 1) The nursing staff automatically thought I was in need of psychiatric help when I was CLEARLY coming in to have my swollen lip examined, on top of that I felt my throat closing up. 2) I am on PrEP which is a preventative regain to protect me against HIV. The nurse should have known about PrEP. It has been approved by the FDA and the CDC. Instead the idiot kept grilling me about my HIV status and made me research the strengths of the medication. Luckily I remembered the imprint, pill shape and color and had to look it up on my phone for her. 3) I had my attorney on as my emergency contact, and after my attorney spoke to the ER staff, they started mocking her after she hung up with them. 4) After waking up after being sedated by the medication they injected into me I was confused as to where I am and what was happened. They treated me like a psych patient. I havent felt so insulted for just going to the hospital for something horrible that happened to me. The only reason why they even got one star is because of two reasons, The swelling stopped after they administered the medication and Google would not let me give 0 stars! If the anyone suggests this place SAY "HELL NO!" The state should look into this place more carefully.

Some very incompetent and rude staff. Receptionist, was pleasant though she gave the wrong room number. (not her fault, maybe thats what she was given by the nursing staff) The patient was not in that room and had never been in that room as I found out later. The nurse at the station, when told the patient I was looking for was not in that room, (without consulting her records)told me the patient was discharged, gone, not there. I asked her to check her records and she told me bluntly that the patient was gone. I had spoken to the patient three or four days before, so I checked my call log, found the number and called it. Patient answered, she was in the same room since she was admitted for rehab more than one month ago. Receptionist later said the patients name was not in her register at the correct room number I gave her. She did have a patient with the same last name, different first name, in the room she gave me but no record of the patient I was visiting. (Note: the board outside that room had a different name) If they get such basic information so mixed up, I wonder what their billing records show?

After having her foot run over by a taxi cab, my daughter sat for 3 hours and nobody looked at her foot at all. They took her insurance in minutes and then there were no doctors or xray technicians on staff. We left after 3 hours and they said we could wait that the radiology person would arrive within about 40 more minutes. Forgot it. I looked at the foot myself and decided wed get to a podiatrist in the morning. Thank God it wasnt as bad an injury as it could have been. The ER was full of people with sniffles and a few with possibly more serious stomach issues but they are seriously understaffed. They dont even use gurneys -- they sit everyone in pseudo wheelchairs so they can fit more people. Time to find a new hospital. They better not bill us or the insurance. I will fight it because no care was rendered whatsoever. Profitable for them -- but shameful!

The first thing is that there was a rude sercurty gurd that would jump in your face as soon as you walked in the door and instead of being a sercuty guard he was telling people what to do and where to go also the service was terrible due to the fact im a 13 year old male and my mom had to take me there so they can look at a rash on my hand but they chose to do everything else but to see me we was there for 61/2hrs and my pediatrician recommended that i go to the er to receive oral medication but they chose to see everyone else and left me sitting there waiting untail me and my mother left so my mom will take me all the way back to new Jersey to kennedy hospital and for me to be treated like a human being instead of being put in a corner

Worst ER experience. Rude staff especially the Doctor Duran and has no common courtesy when speaking to patients.I felt no confidence in speaking to the doctor and the nurse was not even attentive until I asked to speak a higher authority. The aide was telling me I wasnt sick because I got up to leave since I wasnt being attended to. Very unprofessional and no one knows whats going on.

If you can help it, never allow yourself to be admitted to this hospital, bring my wife into the emergency room and instead of assessing her condition, they immediately ask for our insurance information so they could register her! Unbelievable! Aside from that, the staff is incompetent and the facility is filthy. Again unless you have no choice, steer clear of this hospital.

The worst hospital in the whole country my wife got here at 10::00 the first time a nurse said anything to us was 1:13 and we have no idea on when shes going to see a doctor and at the end of the day its part of north shore if we didnt have insurance we would be expecting a crazy bill for an absolute stupid service.

The security in the emergency room is very rough, he does not allow for patients to make questions and he knows the answers to everything, in a place that is too crowded and your are coming because you are feeling ill that is the last thing you need.
