Long Island Animal Hospital is a highly competent, & clean facility! They offer excellence in veterinary care and are very committed to their patients comfort & well being! The staff are trained professionals that exude compassion and patience to serve the needs of both their patient and the pets owner! I have been using this hospital for 37 years starting with my first dog! I highly recommend Dr. krawczyk for he is extremely knowledgeable in diagnosis & treatments for both dogs & cats and since I now have 2 of each I speak from experience! He was able to diagnose, in the early onset of my cats disease and was able to save his life! The staff worked diligently to be able to offer options for cost effective, long term medication! I LOVE Long Island Animal Hospital and consider them as part of my extended family!!! I have recommended many friends, family & co-workers who were all more than satisfied with outstanding care , experience and " bedside manner" Thank you LIAH

I just wanted to say a few words about Dr Rothman. Lets just say he could use a lesson or two in bedside manner. We put our dear Gabby down today, a Golden Retriever that lived until the age of 14! Rothman had the nerve to ridicule my Mother-in-law and wife for putting Gabby to sleep saying they should have come to him for arthritis medicine and this could have been avoided. Really Rothman? On a day thats hard enough you dare to make my family feel guilty after theyve poured their love into this dog for 14 years. All so he could sell them more medicine. Gabby had more than just arthritis. She had tumors pervading her entire body. I dont claim to be an expert in dog care, but I do know a bad person when I see one. Youre a disgrace to the profession Rothman. I hope a lot of people read this review. Maybe their experience with YOU can then be avoided.

Dr. Krawczyk is one of the most caring veterinarians Ive encountered and trust whole-heartedly with the well-being of my two pups. I have confidence he will always treat my pets as if they were his own. It shows that he cares deeply for the Westbury hospital practice, pets and the pet owners, a trait that I have not witnessed at all practices; he will give undivided attention and time to listen and provide the best care possible. Like most pet owners, my dogs get themselves in predicaments at all hours, Dr. Krawczyk gives his own time to be available even with short notice. If I have any questions, his veterinary team is quick to respond ensuring the correct information every time.

Very positive experience, first time client. Called at 6:05 PM with a non-life threatening emergency. The very professional reception staff handled the situation very quickly and was able to squeeze us in right away. The hospital is older but clean and neat. The doctor/practice owner was very respectful and professional. He examined my dog and prescribed the necessary medication (that had worked well for my dog on another occasion). He also made sure I understood the plan if there was no significant improvement. Exam fee and medication were reasonable. All in all a good introduction! Well be back :-)

To the gentleman who left a bad review, losing a part of the family is hard on anyone and even the best people make mistakes. But Rothman is a good egg who has taken amazing care of my dog, Briscoe, he genuinely cares not only about the animals but also their "parents" and Im sure if you told him how hurtful you found his remark to be, he would have been embarrassed and sincerely apologized to you. He understands the bond between pet and owner seemingly on a case by case basis, he has never overcharged me for shots my dog doesnt need and hell be missed when he retires.

Ive been taking my pets to LIAH for many years and the doctors and staff are amazing. All of my animals have always received excellent care and I can always count on a friendly greeting from everyone as well as a shoulder to cry on when there has been a need. My dog has required consistent care for an ongoing condition during the past year and Dr. Krawczyk has gone above and beyond for us for which I am extremely grateful. I would never take my pets anywhere else.

Dr. Krawczyk is extremely knowledgeable. We have a rescue dog who has a complicated medical history. We have taken her to three vets previously before being referred to Dr. Krawczyk, he immediately knew how to treat her current conditions without using medications/treatments that would cause re-occurrence of her prior issues. And, he also happens to be great with animals. Highly recommend!!!

Have been going to Dr. Rothman for 20 years. He treats my animals like members of his family. He tells me when something is not needed to keep costs down, and will give new meds when needed without charging me for a visit. I have heard he is retiring and I will miss him greatly.
