Initially I thought I had found a reputable Dentist in northern Westchester County. My wife and I have been going to this dentist for some time. After having a root canal done, I complained about a pain I’ve been having in my jaw. To make a long story short, after many trips and considerable expense, I was told that I had temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome. After spending a considerable amount of money on something I really never needed, I continued to go back and complain about the pain. He finally recommended me to a different doctor, who pointed out that I had been misdiagnosed by Dr. Rifkin. What I actually had was a crack and a hole in my jaw from an infection coming from the area where I had my root canal done. It has been a total of 18 months; I’ve had 3 surgeries and a major jaw replacement procedure. I finally feel like I have a normal life again. When I confronted Dr. Rifkin about the misdiagnosis, and the charges I incurred, his resolution was to give me a portion of the money back in the form of a credit towards future dental work versus refunding the amount that I didn’t need to spend. To top it off, I received a bill, for the first time, pertaining to work done over 2 years ago that I was never billed for until I confronted him about the refund. Upon receiving the two year old bill, I suggested the amount get taken toward the credit and his response was threatening to take me to collections. After everything stated above, I just wanted people to know about his lack of professionalism and his expertise in reading a simple x-ray. I obviously will never do business with him again and hope no one else does either. The only decision I have to do now is whether or not to file a malpractice law suit.

To get me in a dentist chair is next to impossible, to get me there more then that is having a great team of professionals. Start with the front desk always friendly and there to help and remind me to take meds prior to appointment. Hygienist, Courtney is special. Always the biggest smile on her face, relaxed me even when she had to break out the chisel. Dawn, that had the patience of a saint. Between my need for a bathroom break or gagging, she always remained calm. Now for Dr. Allison Rifkin. Again, the fact that I have returned multiple times is a testament to her abilities and professionalism. I never felt any injections, drill, poke or prod. Amazing touch. If you are in need of a dentist, or selecting a new dental group, I would strongly recommend giving them the opportunity to show you what I have seen, the best dental experience, EVER!

I Called the office in the morning to tell them I had chipped my front tooth. This tooth had some bonding done on it previously. Because it is my front tooth, it is very important to me that the color matched. Dr Rifkin did an excellent job.!!! The work was done so meticulously and the tooth ended up looking better than before. I am so pleased. I was so comfortable while the work was being done. The procedure was explained to me in detail. The DR and Assistant worked very well together. All this was done in a professional systematic manner. The staff is very professional and courteous. The office is clean and the equiptment is high tech. It is clear that this office performs only the highest quality work. I highly recommend Rifkin Dental Thank you

My experience with Dr Martiniak was so positive that I actually looked forward to my follow up appointments. He installed a gold crown with such expertise that it felt better than the original tooth. His price was also very reasonable, especially when compared to the "holistic" dentists in Yorktown. He uses the same top-grade biologically safe materials as dentists who advertise themselves as holistic. He just doesnt brag about it. Dr. M and Dr Rifkin are extremely kind and friendly people, sensitive to the patients individual situation.

was given a quote for extensive dental work. went for a second opinion. no work needed and its been 5 years with no problems. same with my spouse - was told he needed extensive periodontal work or his teeth would fall out. Prior to this we used them for years and had no problem. Now we use someone else without these misdiagnoses for extensive amounts of money.

Im so happy I decided to do my Invisalign with Rifkin Dental! They always fully answer all of my questions and are extremely attentive to my needs. I feel really comfortable with all of the staff because theyre all really friendly. Im happy with the care .I get there and Im going to bring my husband and daughter there too

When I first went to Rifkin Dental my teeth were in bad shape but after a few months of great treatment and the great staff my teeth are looking better and feeling great!! I really like the great staff and the great work they do that I drive 45 mins to the office. If you want a great dental team then Rifkin dental is it!!

Whats not to love? The doctors and their team are a pleasure. In the 17+ years Ive been going to Rifkin Dental I cant remember a time when I had to wait more than a minute or two. The fees are reasonable and Ive never experienced a billing problem with my insurance company. Keep up the good work!

I moved to Panama 2.5 years ago from Katonah and still come back to Rifkin Dental for regular cleaning and check-ups. If I think they are worthy of traveling 2,268 miles for to keep my smile bright then to drive to Yorktown Heights should be easy for anyone else to get the best dental care!

Great full service dentist. From cleanings to whitings to bridges and crowns Rifkin dental does it all. The staff is always cheerful and greets you as you enter. I actually travel from some distance as this is the only practice that meets my expectations.

Going to the dentist doesnt have to be a scary experience! At Rifkin you sit back, chat a little and watch TV while the dentists/hygienist does their work...they make you feel very comfortable and I cant imagine going anywhere else :)
