I went in for common sinus issues, knew I needed a shot or Zpack and cough meds my horrible cough. They prescribed me cough meds that wasnt working. AFC called me the DAY AFTER to check on me. I informed them the cough meds werent working. The receptionist told me to hold and she would check on it for me. Well couple min later she tells me she cant have another doctor prescribe me anything bc the doctor I had saw yesterday wasnt in until Wednesday the next week. I was informed I would have to come in and see a different doctor and pay another co-pay. I called again today to see if they could speak with his nurse to see if I could get anything done. NOTHING they didnt offer anything other than come in pay again and see another doctor. So I have to spend more money and time I dont have for something that is a simple fix. This is my first and last time ever using a AFC.. On the plus side Dr. Thompson was great I just wish they wouldnt have called to check on me they arent going to do anything to help.

My husband went in to get his BP medication refilled because we moved here from out of state and do not have a Dr here. They charged him $150 for that and that is all they did. He was told when he had to go back that it would only be $50 if it was just for his medicine refill and nothing else ( and this is a med he has been taking for about 7 years and he cant go without it). But when he went back they charged him $175 (even more than the first visit). He is on SSDI and doesnt receive Medicare yet so he has to pay cash! I think this is ridiculous to charge that much just to get a medication refill and not have anything else done! You would think they could have a little compassion on someone that is disabled and living just off Social Security and has low income! And the visit only took the time it took for the Dr to write it out! Actually he probably could have just seen the nurse for that!

Staff is friendly and professional, and the facility clean. If you have a fairly simple, straightforward problem or difficulty, then AFC might be the place to go (although the upfront cost is $175). My own experience, however, was less than satisfying. For a total of $225 over two visits, I had six vials of blood taken and a review of the results but without any real treatment of my ailments. The physician who saw me to review my blood test results (for $50) basically told me to take fish oil and would not even consider a refill on the prescription the first physician had given, much less any other medication and/or treatment for my ailments. All in all, then, I have to say I was/am dissatisfied. (Also, their feedback form does not come up when clicked on, soooo you cannot provide feedback directly to AFC!)

Very disappointed. Brought my child there on a Sat while her pediatrician offices was closed. She had a fever and a body rash. They literally said they didnt know what was wrong gave her an antibiotic and a steroid and sent us packing. No improvement of symptoms whatsoever. Brought her to the pediatrician office that Monday. She had full blown strep throat for at least five days that manifested into scarlet fever causing a rash according to her Dr. with the correct antibiotic her health improved rapidly. They were amazed the other Dr. couldnt diagnose it. I understand somethings are hard to catch, but a toddler with strep is not one of those things. I would think thats med school 101. They were either careless, incompetent, or lazy, take your pick. Dont flush your hard earned money down the drain here.

My boyfriend just left here. He specifically asked before paying and waiting if they would be able to help with his eye problem or if he should go to the ER. He explained what was going on and what he had already done for it. The girl at the front told him that they could help him here. The doctor looked at his eye, gave no diagnosis, and told him to go to the ER. Now we are out $175 with no resolution. We could have used that money to go to the ER in the first place if the girl at the front had been more honest instead of just wanting to take our money. What a waste. The only reason I have one extra star is because the wait time that he was quoted was actually about right, even though it was still 3 hours.

Very disappointed In this company. I went in for a physical and was told that the cost would be $50 for the service. I was ok with that being as how I paid for the service. A couple of weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $87. The description of the bill says office visit that is it. No other description on the bill or from a representative. I called and they said they would file a claim for the bill but never herd anything back. AFC you will never get any of my business or any referrals from me. Sending someone a "office visit" bill a few weeks after your original office visit is crooked no matter if its $87 or $87,000.

I could not have been more pleased with American Family Care. Ive tried other urgent care offices in Dothan and will only be going to American Family Care from now on. The front office staff was friendly, the staff who took my vitals was cheerful, even at work on a Saturday, the wait time was less than 5 minutes, and the doctor was very friendly and caring. The best part was before I could even make it home, I had a text from my pharmacy letting me know that my prescription was ready for pickup. To top it off, I received a call today from AFC to see how I was feeling. Great experience!

I went into the facility and upon signing in the receptionist stated the wait will be 1 hour and 20 minutes, with only two people waiting before me. As much pain as I was in, I waited because the emergency room would have possibly been a longer wait. I went in because of severe chest pains and back pains. Needless to say I was prescribed a medication for stomach ulcers. And given a long speech about drinking soda, keeps him making money. Left still in pain and know understanding of why my chest has been hurting for a week, I will never go there again.

The office was spotless and very modern looking. Excellent care, even when very close to closing time. My girlfriend had a UTI and was in great pain. We went to All South on 231 first, and they were very rude so we left. The care here was great, and everyone was extremely nice. We spoke to Erin when we were first called back. She was very accommodating. The nurse practitioner was was upbeat, understanding, and down to earth. The office even called her the next day (ON A SUNDAY) to check and see how she was doing. Highly recommended!

I was very pleased when I got home after my visit to see I had a copy of my vitals, prescription print out, and a detailed receipt for my records. Then today I got a call from my nurse checking on me to make sure I was doing better. I will definately make this my place of service in the future and highly recommend you to friends and family. Thank you for a speedy and thorough evaluation when I was there as well. You made me feel like was an important asset even though I didnt get there until 5:25. Made a big impression!
