I had a kitten who got very sick, well when I first noticed him getting sick, I called the vet to ask for opinions and all the lady told me was to bring him in and it would be $94 just so the doctor would see him. I didnt take him right away due to work, but I ended up taking him later that night when he got worst because it was the weekend and I didnt have anywhere else to take him. Everyone that worked there was so rude. They were all about the money. They ended up telling me that it was going to be $1500 just to find out what was wrong with my kitten and all that they could do was stabilize him for the time being and that I would eventually have to euthanize him. I chose to have him put down because he was in so much pain, and I stayed in the room with him while they did it. The doctor who gave him his shots didnt even seem to care. It was just another paycheck to him. I dont care about them being rude or not being sympathetic, what makes me most mad about this experience is that they didnt even seem to want to help my kitten. they couldnt tell me whether or not he was going to make it, just that it was going to be $1500 to find out. If I would have gone anywhere else, I would know what happened to my kitten and he would probably be here today. I will never use this vet again.

Thankfully they showed their greed over the phone, so we never darkened their doorstep! My senior dog who suffers from MCT had a nosebleed in the middle of the night. In a panic, I called these people seeking advice as I dont have a car and new it would be morning before I could get her there. The only advice they offered me was to "bring her in" and the $94 office visit was repeated several times. When I questioned them about other emergency vets available in the area...They drug their feet and finally told me that Rehm on Hillcrest was open and shortly added their vet was "only on call". Id rather sit TWO DAYS waiting for an "on call" vet than I would to ever deal with these money grubbing people again! Fyi...We went to Rehm...The "on call" vet they spoke so poorly of...got there at the same time we did. AND...HE was AMAZING!!! My baby ended up staying for two nights with Rehm and they got her all fixed up! In an emergency situation you simply cant beat family owned and operated, supporting local economy, and top rate emergency care!!! :) Thank you Dr. Mike Rehm and Family were telling EVERYBODY! ;)

My dog injured his elbow and was in too much pain to walk. I was referred by the family vet to the orthopedic surgeon at MedVet. After a consultation it was decided that my dog needed surgery. Dr. Bufkin took the time to explain and show me what exactly was wrong with my dogs elbow as well as what would be performed during the surgery to repair his injury. Needless to say that taking care of a big dog after any surgery isnt a fun task but the staff at MedVet provided me with plenty of instructions beforehand to ensure that his recovery and healing period would progress smoothly. They were always available to answer any questions I had throughout the process. I am very happy to say that my dog is all healed now and is back 100% with full mobility, running and playing just as he always did. You wouldnt even know that he ever had such a painful injury a few months ago.

Do not take your dog or any animal here because they charged for our dog and they had to known he was going to die without the medicine that could had saved his life. They failed to give the medicine to him until the next morning when he should had taken it as soon as he arrived. I think they didnt have the medicine and they waited until the next morning to get it but acted as if they had it and that he didnt need it until 12 hours later. Trust me when I say the dog needed the medicine, it was very obvious. I repeat DO NOT take your dog here. There are other emergency vets in Mobile like Theodore Vet where the technology is impeccable and service outstanding. Also Rehm animal clinic is open at night. Take your furry family member to a more professional and seasoned establishment. If I could rate a zero I would but I cannot. God bless!

Very nice Clinic. Listened to everything I said. My dog couldnt use her back leg....they got her a rug to stand on so she didnt fall then they got her blanket to rest on. They reviewed the medical history thoroughly. Did a thorough exam on my dog. We previously had a surgery gone bad elsewhere and dr. Bufkin listened and treated my dog in all areas to help fix the bad surgery. We are now back to gaining weight, beginning to use her leg again, getting an infection under control, and getting her pain under control. Im finally getting my "before surgery dog" back and I am thankful to them. I should mention we drove 2hrs to this clinic bc there wasnt a board certified vet near my home. We wanted board certified bc a general practitioner botched initial surgery. Totally worth the drive.

The worst place to take your dog I took my sick puppy in there and from the moment I got there nothing went the way I know a vet to be gave my dog saline solution in the back of his neck so he had a baseball lump on his neck after they got done was gonna take him home and dog basically died in my arms but still had some life so I took him back thinking they would try to save him nope wrong again they euthanized him without my permission didnt even know they were doing it until they told me they had done it very displeased so basically I gave them 200.00 to kill my dog
