Everytime I bring my dog Philip, he was always shaking like so scared and everytime I picked him up after dropping him off from 8am to 6pm hes still shaking. After they gave him something, he got a size of a golf bowl in his upper arm. Again, they called us for another checked up and my dog Philip is shaking again seeing them ,but at that time I have no clue that they were doing something bad for Philip to be scared..... Anyway, I dont know WHY I didnt have the guts to not leave him over there again, I trusted them that they are dog lovers and calmed myself that they really are.... I finally picked him up around 6pm on this last visit. He was shaking so much and they put a freaking collar that wasnt his with a named that says Lucas, this vet didnt tell me that he was sicked and he needed more test. Its so wrong in so many levels them putting a wrong collar with a named Lucas on it, I wanted to throw that name tag collar ,but I begged myself not to be angry.... Philip stop shaking as soon as I gave him hugs and lots of kisses. He looks traumatized there. In the house the next morning I found a bloody marks on him like 4 inches in long and half an inched in width and I called Banfield right away.... The one who answered the phone said, those occured when they were given shots. I was hurting for my dog ,but there is NOTHING I can do....

Our dog Sasha was taken there for spaying at around 8:30 AM. They didnt have our paperwork ready so we waited 5 more minutes. We left her and went home expecting to get a call when she was done. At 5:00 PM we called and found out shed been done for a while. We asked what happened and told them we never got a call. They gave us attitude saying maybe we gave them the wrong number, when in fact we gave them 3 correct numbers. They proceeded to give us more attitude and didnt give back our dog, they decided to argue for a little while. Eventually we got Sasha back. We also ordered for her nails to be trimmed, were they, nope. Never doing business with them again. Maybe its cause were asian, maybe not. All we know is they gave us the worst service ever. Hope someone reads this before making the mistake of going to this rude, overpriced place. Thank you, have a good day.

After a brief phone call, I was told they knew what was wrong with my dog, and costing only $30 I felt great relief hearin that it wasnt anything serious; just a gland expression. I knew nothing of that procedure but I was very concerned with a bulge that could be felt on one side. After the procedure was done, I could not drive away, knowing that my dog still had the same bulge. I asked if he could be checked but they refused to do anything. I ended up going to another clinic where they performed the same procedure, but WERE able to get rid of the bulge. What a waste of time!

Never again will I bring a pet here. Brought my dog for a simple torn nail, vet said he needed surgery. Took him somewhere else and they had my dog fixed up in 2 weeks. They only try to make money off of you. Not take care of the physical needs of your pet. Would give 0 stars if possible.

My brother introduced us to using Banfield as our veterinarian and we love it! I love the idea of making payments each month and not worrying about it when we arrive for our dogs checkups. Everyone there is really nice and very helpful. They make our experience very pleasant

Banfield Gurnee is under staffed, and workers are rude. Tried to get through to corporate to cancel my plan, and no one will answer the phone....told wait time is 42 minutes!!! Saw on internet that they were sued in class action law suit . Not surprised.

Ive been taking my dogs to the Gurnee Banfield for the past 9+ years and have never had a bad experience. The vets Ive dealt with have seemed caring and helpful whenever theres been an issue. Im thankful for them.

Nice clean clinic. Friendly staff. However, as expected, theres a lot of upsell for products and services that you will encounter. Great pet clinic to bring your pet kids.
