I have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy. I read some of the reviews and I think some dog owners are confused. There was a review here that said "the staff wanted to take my puppy in the back without me and I said no way"..they do that to save you money!! Every time you wait in that exam room and demand to see the vet, youre getting charged for that vet time and for that "physical" they perform. That physical literally ranges from $50-$65...my dog is a soft coated wheaten terrier, and I pay $61. Thats a lot of money! However, every other vet that requires an appointment, charges you that EVERY time you visit!! So if there is no need for your dog to have a physical that day, then they are doing you a favor by just taking your dog to the back! When I bring my dog in for his annual flu shot, we walk in I tell them what I need, they take him to the back, administer the shot and hes back out in the lobby with me within a matter of 30 seconds. I pay for the shot and were out of there. However, my dog has allergies and he rashed out on his belly so we had to see the vet that time so she could take a good look at him, and yes I was charged the $61 physical fee. I have also boarded my dog there, he was about 8 months and I left him there for 3 nights, 4 days. Was he super sad when I picked him up? Of course! What dog is ever happy being boarded? Their human is their everything so being away from them will definitely make your dog stressed and sad. He was sad for another 4 days after that when I brought him home because in his eyes, I abandoned him! Did my dog stink when I picked him up? Yes, but he smelled like other dogs, which in turn tells me that he got the playtime I payed for. My dog loves to wrestle and he gets other dogs saliva on him when that happens, so him smelling like that when I picked him up was A-okay with me, at least I know he got playtime and wasnt locked in a cage all day. And for the record, I requested that they not bathe him because I like to groom him myself. They usually bathe the dogs after two days of boarding. I like this vet clinic because it is convenient, saves me money where they can, and the vet actually cares. When I brought my dog in the second time he rashed out, the vet came in already having reviewed his file saying she remembered this happened last in November and that this may be a seasonal allergy for him, etc. Point is, she didnt walk in and say "okay, whatre we here for?" She already knew, and had looked at his file before coming in. My dog is going to start daycare here for when Im at work, so I am hoping that I have nothing but the best to say about that as well. As for their grooming facility, I cannot speak for that because I get my dog groomed elsewhere.

Literally the SCUMMIEST Vet/Boarding operation in the area. I recently boarded my dog for a weekend while I went out of town. I dropped him off on a Thursday and he was perfectly healthy. When I returned to pick him up on Sunday night, and the kennel tech was retrieving him from the kennel, I could hear him hacking up a lung from all the way across the building. As he emerged from the back room I could see he was dragging the kennel tech by the blue rope leash they use to control the dogs. I assumed that my dog was coughing because the rope is strong and he was choking himself. But even after I removed the rope he continued to cough. I asked the kennel tech if he was having a medical emergency. She replied that he was not and that "Hell be fine." She was not concerned in the least bit. I took him home and he continued to cough. I took a closer look at him at this time and noticed that there was dried saliva/mucus at the corners of his mouth, indicative of coughing for a PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME. We went to bed and when we got up the next morning, he continued to cough. I called up the facility and the receptionist immediately advised me that he has the "dog influenza" that we have all heard so much of. Their facility and staff are obviously aware of the influenza and its symptoms as the clinic has an enormous amount of signage posted all around the facility advising staff/visitors of the sickness and its indicators. The receptionist also told me all of the staff is trained to identify its symptoms. I immediately brought him in for treatment. When I spoke with the veterinarian, I stressed that I was not upset about him getting sick (I understand there are risks to boarding, especially with this highly contagious disease), but what I was upset about is the OBVIOUS SIGNS OF NEGLECT (saliva/mucus at corners of mouth) and the kennel tech NOT OFFERING TREATMENT TO AN OBVIOUSLY INFECTED DOG. The veterinarian swore that the kennel does not neglect dogs and could not offer any viable explanation for the kennel tech being so useless. I asked for a tour of the facilities and the veterinarian DECLINED to allow this. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS FACILITY. They NEGLECT animals during boarding (dried mucus around mouth), are CHEAP (not offering my dog meds when he became sick in their care), and ARE NON-TRANSPARENT [SHADY] (not giving a tour to verify the cleanliness of the kennel). Please learn from my mistake and avoid Countryside Veterinary Center at all costs.

I have had 4 experiences with this place now, so feel equipped to write an accurate and fair review. We have had two elderly dogs that we have had to euthanize due to complications, which were age related....they were all super awesome throughout this process, for both our dogs. One was in August of 2016 and the other in October 2016 - thank you to the staff for their care on this! I took my puppy in for a DHPP vaccine. I get approached in the lobby by a tech wanting to take my puppy "in the back." Um...no, I will stay with her please. We go into a room and a tech comes at her with a shot - stabs her before I can question it - and she didnt even clean the area with alcohol or anything before doing so! I then go to pay and see my bill is for DHLPP. I had to request the sticker from the vaccine to have them prove to me that they did not give her the Lepto vaccine (which berners are known to have bad reactions to!). It was a DHPP sticker from the vaccine, but they only have a DHLPP on the billing. Ok. Change that. Today, I called to inquire if there is anyone there who is *skilled* at doing a pregnancy ultrasound. I explained that this time last year, I brought Parker in to do this and the tech saw 1, maybe 2 puppies...but she had 10! This was good news, but I wanted accurate info this time. After being on hold a couple of minutes, all the while listening to "Holiday" related hold chitter chatter, she lets me know that they have a service for about $400 to "read the ultrasound". No thank you. I just wanted a skilled ultrasound vet at your facility to count puppies more accurately. I will go elsewhere.
