When I went a few days ago I was told I was simply setting up an appointment to see what my insurance covered. When I got there they didnt get me in until about an hour after my scheduled appointment time. When they called me back the girl seemed like she was learning and using me as a test dummy and also in a very big hurry, while constantly telling me that she couldnt wait to get out of there and go home. Then told me to sit in the seat and started getting a bunch of stuff ready (which by this point had still not been told what was going on) I then proceeded to ask what was even going on, and she told me we were doing x rays, I said okay and then she started to put things in my mouth without even telling me what they were, she then told me to bite down and when I went to do so, something was cutting into the bottom of my mouth, with my mouth full I tried to say, "I cant it hurts I cant close my mouth" she then was ignoring what I was trying to say and continued to tell me to close my mouth. Then went to the X-rays in the back part of my mouth and they still were cutting my mouth and then making me gag, I told her to stop and asked her if there was a smaller size because I couldnt handle it, she then said, "No sorry, I know it sucks but you just have to deal with it so we can get these X-rays". I kept gagging so bad that I almost vomited and when I would finally just spit the peice out she would grab the piece and shake the spit off and all over my legs. Then after she did the 18 X-rays, she looked at them and realized that she had messed up on a lot of them and that we had to re-do them because she didnt tell me to take out my jewelry and my nose ring was in the photos. After that a man came in and just started poking at my teeth (still no explanation as to what the heck is happening) after that I asked what we were even doing and he said oh we can do whatever you want! We can pull or clean or whatever. And I said now? Dont I need to make another appointment then he said no I got time! I can pull your wisdoms now if you want. I was scared at this point because I could tell he wasnt kidding. I then told him I didnt want to do any of that, then at the end he told the girl to just polish my teeth. She then said, right in front of me, "No I wanna get out of here, well reschedule her for that!" And basically pushed me out the door. It felt very rushed and VERY unprofessional. I have cuts all over my mouth and do not plan on going back!!

I have never had 1 cavity in my whole life. Now that I live in Maricopa I decided its time to see a local dentist. I have upgraded dental insurance, I work for the state so my insurance is already pretty good, upgraded, I wasnt considering paying anything out of pocket. Next thing I know I have 7 cavities, and my insurance (according to them) will only pay for the metal fillers. In order to get the tooth colored fillings would cost me just about $400. Wait, there is still more. Because the good Dr. Says my teeth quailfy for the second tier of cleaning I would have to pay $70. out of pocket. But wait, dont I have insurance? Well yes, but the Dr. will not do the standard cleaning, even upon request. Makes sense to me when you can steal another $70. from a person. What a rip off. To top if off, the inital lady who sat me down was pretty much laughing at me because I had cavities. Really professional! Go anywhere besides this place!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DC DENTAL... I was impressed with the family atmosphere at your practice. Each individual I come in contact with from the moment I enter the door to the final exam from Dr. Mamook is pleasant, patient and treated me with care and professionalism. Also I was able to get appointments that work with my schedules. I had a very bad toothache at one point and he took me in even though its almost at the end of the day , he needed to do a Root Canal on one of my tooth and he got me out of misery. He has always given me his undivided attention at every appointment. He evaluates with care, taking into account everything from treatment planning, scheduling and finances. Dr. Mamook is a genuine, caring and generous person. If theres is an emergency I know that I can count on Dr. Mamook to help me. I will definitely stay with Dr. Mamook for as long as I can.

I would recommend Dr. Chang for several reasons: First and foremost, Dr. Chang does excellent work. He is meticulous and gentle, two qualities that I think are very important in a dentist. If you have ever ended up with a crown that doesnt quite fit right (which happened with a previous dentist) then you will know what I mean. Second, they will take the time to explain your treatment options and help you work out a plan if you need more extensive work. Third, the staff refreshingly straight forward about sharing their opinions about dentistry. They do not try to sell you on things you dont really need. Also, his office has very nice people working there, especially the assistants and the receptionist. Dr. Chang was originally recommended to me by a friend. I would not hesitate to recommend him to YELPers looking for a thoughtful, caring, extremely capable dentist.

I originally rated DC Dental "1 star" because Dr. Jafari was completely unprofessional. When my four year old daughter wouldnt open her mouth immediately he said, "Thats it, Im done." He then proceeded to throw down his tools and storm out of the room. I asked the receptionist if he is that rude to everyone and she informed me that he "just doesnt have patience with children." On 4/13/12, Dr. Jafari called to apologize. I appreciate Dr. Jafaris ability to see his mistake and accept responsibility for his in appropriate actions. After all, we are all human. Prior to the incident on 4/6, my other experiences as an ADULT patient of DC Dental were good. At this time I am changing my rating to a "3," but I would still not recommend this office for children under 8.

I came in 10 min early for my daughters app time because she was a new patient and I factored in time to do paperwork. We were not seen for 1 1/2 hours past our appt time. Someone before us on the sign on sheet had an appt time of 12 and they were seen before us we had to wait until almost 12 to be seen so I think they switched her appt time with someone else and we had to just deal with it and wait, usually not a problem but I had my 1 year old with us and she was not happy waiting. The dentist and staff in the back were nice and professional. Just they really dont need to make people wait so long past their appt time. People have lives and things to do. I was almost late for another appt because of this.
