All the positive reviews here are from the office staff or family (you will notice that 2 people have the same last name as the doctor - Gartenberg / they might change it after my review!) Beware - this office OVERcharges visits - i have an insurance and im covered but when i went back to check the bills, it was ridiculous the amount of "extra" things they add to bulk up the bill. I have called back because they were asking me to pay for something the insurance refused to pay: I went to the doctor on Friday they counted my lab drawing as a separate visit although i did not even see the doctor that time. They even charge you for nurse drawing blood for a very basic test (blood count), which the insurance refused to cover. I just did labs at my other doctor and i wasnt billed or charged for it (same type of basic tests). If you have co-insurance - AVOID If you have co-pay and you still want to go there although there are plenty of doctors in the region who are affiliated to some groups (their billing is better) - ask EXACTLY what they will bill for each activity and each visit! July 26 update: I just saw that the doctor office responded below. 1) i have reached out by phone 3 times and you assistant did not have an answer and asked me to call on friday as the "finance" person would be there then. This is the first clue that i have actually contacted you and tried to understand this. 2) Your statement on trying to make it the fault of my insurance is FALSE! I have just done regular labs done (same as the one done before) and i have not paid that charge. YOUR office charges EXTRA for a nurse to draw blood and i dont want to get into contractual agreements you may have with nurses, which end up being paid by the patients. 3) I have checked every single item you have charged to my insurance company (thankfully i have one) and its more expensive than other doctors on average for the same activities. I have even compared the billing codes. 4) The doctor reached out to me by email, which was very nice of her, but honestly the office could have just taken/absorbed that charge since its specific to their practice if they wanted to retain a customer. My review here is very transparent and speaks to evidence. I want the people and any potential patients to understand what they might get into if they pursue this office, especially on co-payments. This was my experience with blood labs, maybe the surcharges apply to other items (i dont have that information).

Today I had my second visit with Dr. Gartenberg and she is an AMAZING Dr and has sweet staff!!! She is very caring, empathetic, attentive, and MOST importantly thorough!!!! Ive been through soo many Drs just trying to find one who genuinely cares about their patients and have always ended up disappointed to the point where I was literally losing faith in ALL Drs, then I found Dr Gartenberg and I now have a sense of relief knowing that she will do everything in her power to help her patients see the light at the end of their tunnels and to me that is MOST important!! Yes this is a deductible collecting office and bills for labs and tests (just like any place of business would) but its worth every penny!! There are many offices that dont collect the deductibles up front, sure.. Ive been to SEVERAL of them and still ended up going to Dr. Gartenberg. Why? Because shes worth it. She doesnt rush you through appointments without hearing you out, she doesnt send you for bloodwork one time and then when she cant figure out the issue tell you sorry for your luck and send you on your way, or blame all your issues on your weight as though its the only cause. She takes the time out to do her job and has great bed side manners to go with it. Just like the saying goes "quality over quantity". Id highly recommend her not only to my friends and family but to ANYONE out there looking for a Dr who will go the extra mile to assure that you are in and remain in good health!!!

Great doctor! Great office! You are expected to pay your deductible at the visit. I have bad insurance. So, I have to pay for everything out of pocket until I meet my deductible. Its a small private office so, this makes sense.
