The front Office staff are rude, uncaring and unprofessional. My child was prescribed medications by Dr. Yarbarough on two occasions, both times it was a hassle and took far too long to receive the medications. The first time he prescribed her a medication he had samples of, the medication was only available from a Specialty pharmacy and took almost a week to get. The second time he prescribed another cream, he also conveniently had a sample of, it was a newer medication so the approval from my insurance would take another week. My child has a contagious infection of the skin, time is of the essence. The last time I never even received the prescribed medication. My childs condition worsened without the meds she needs and the Dr. office has been uncooperative and is now refusing to even communicate with us. Dr. Yabaroughs office staff told me its MY job to know if my insurance covers or requires an pre authorization code for the Meds that the Dr. PRESCRIBES my child. They also suggested I look into my insurance plan and just pick a medication out that was covered and they would give me that one instead. This is absolutely ridiculous, whats the point of being prescribed a specific med for a specific skin condition by the Dr. then! The front desk got very short with me last time I called to check and see where my childs medication was. They dont seem to care or understand that my child really needs this medication in a timely matter. They havent even returned my last few calls. Ive never dealt with these sort of issues at any other Dr.s office. I will be complaining to my Insurance Company and leaving several reviews for this office. Im disappointed that they would treat a 4 year old child with this sort of lax and unprofessional care.

I saw Kendall Jenson for a dark spot on my face, just above my cheekbone and below my right eye. It looked like a large freckle and had gotten bigger and darker these past few years. The doc offered me two options, one was to freeze the spot (more economical) and the other was a series of laser treatments (much more expensive.) He said that the freezing technique may or may not work, but it wouldnt hurt to try it, and thats what I opted to have performed that day. The treatment was just slightly uncomfortable but not unbearable. The spot stung for the remainder of the day, and felt a little sore the next day. By the third day, I had no pain, but the spot had turned really dark brown, and looked like a scab. Within about 10 days - the scab was gone and all signs of the original freckle were invisible! I am so very pleased that for under $200 I was able to get rid of this spot that had been an annoyance for me for years. People had always asked me what it was, if I was okay, shouldnt I have it looked at, etc. There were a few times that people even thought I had a black eye. Now there is NO TRACE of this freckle and also no evidence of the freezing technique. I would definitely recommend Dr. Jenson PA-C and Scottsdale Dermatology, Ltd. Thank you!

I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews here; however, I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful -- especially Jamie who collected information on my appointment. Dr. Yarbrough seemed very efficient and took care of my issues. He evaluated my skin problems, and clearly laid out options so I could make an informed decision about how to proceed. I have been to 4 dermatologists, and Dr. Yarbrough deserves an excellent rating based upon my first visit with him.
